posting a picture

Hi all,

Can anyone help with a problem I'm having posting a picture for my profile. I wanted to change the old one. Everything seems to have gone right. Under my name, I see the picture as part of the profile, but when I go to my page, it's not there. I posted the same picture as an attachment to another forum and it worked there. So, what am I doing wrong?

Nothing. All pictures are believed to be vetted before they are posted. The reason you see it when it isn't there yet is because your browser is being clever and pulling the image from its local buffer instead of reloading it down the line.

vetted?

I'm so ignorant. What is vetted? I'm assumed it has nothing to do with animal clinics!

Thanks bunches,

Vet - To subject to thorough examination or evaluation: vet a manuscript

ps to Snoop - How about you keep your standard answer and I'll answer this one? :D

Nope. (And pinkmonkey80 is waiting!)

Another question on pictures

Somewhere there was a note on the number of posts necessary before a photo could be used under username to the left of entries for forums. Seems it was a lot, 200 or more.

Is there a number of posts necessary before art can be posted on the profiles?

100 posts to get to an AV. You're at 180. 200 seems like a lot? :D

No idea on art in the profiles.

Unless, they changed it, there was no restriction on posting a picture with your bio. I had one before. I just wanted to change it. It won't let me put up the new one.

A polite almost-twenty-six year old. What a true rarity in this day and age. Happy Sunday 20th.

There is another place to post art on this site. I do illustrations, and I've been trying since I got here to post some of them on the "Erotic Illustrations" section.

I know, nobody does... they lie on the main Index page, just down below the news links. When you go there, there are thirteen or so drawings and whatnot which have been there since I first saw the section. Someone told me they though no one had updated the section for years. (That was Rhinoguy.)

Can you confirm? I put enough submissions in there to double the size of the section all by myself, but not thing one has happened. No trace of them shows on the Submissions page, either.

posting bio picture

Hi guys,

I guess it just took time. I went on today and the new picture was us. Thanks for the feedback.

Now, for another question, where to post a collection of pictures? As mentioned above, the illustrations don't seem to do much. I see some in these message boxes but I can't figure out how to post more than one.

Hugs,

If you want to attach a picture in your post, you can only do one at a time. If you want a picture to show up in your post and it is already on the internet somewhere, you can put as many as you'd like by surrounding the url with tags like so: [img]http://www.literotica.com/images/banners/effsml.gif
logobw.gif
http://emoticons4u.informationalot.com/cartoon/1238.gif http://emoticons4u.informationalot.com/cartoon/1403.gif etc

Quote the post to see how it's done.

Since they can be on the 'net anywhere, a lot of people post them to their site and surround them with *url* tags instead,
so that you have an index page, with lists and lists of URLs, such as the first post of many of the older picture threads. They don't show as images, but you can certainly organize them in categories and all that.
Candi's Thread

like she does on that one.
