Damnit. I had to go shop for some food for tonight at work and I was starving. So I go through the store and pick up a nice herb salad mix, some italian dressing mix, balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil and then I went nuts.

I picked up a box of sourdough pretzels and when I was in the parking lot the girl I've been slowly seducing called me *yay* and then I went to taco bell.

The new nacho crunchy grilled stuffed burrito was pretty tasty but leaves a bit of an onion aftertaste. I'm pretty sure that it won't help me to stay awake at work tonight. Everything was okay, even the pretzels but damn that siren call of taco bell!

Why do they have to be so convenient? Why is there one just around the corner from my house? WHY DAMMIT???

Hehehe Draggie and some friends learned not to send me to walmart for a snack run, especially when I'm pregnant. I spent around $50 on chips, dip, cookies, jerky, candy, chocolate, icecream and soda.....I'm not allowed to do that anymore  I did really good today though, I went to the commissary all by myself and only left with a few things that weren't on my list. I walked past the olives and decided that i HAD to have the green ones with the red stuff in the center. mmmmmm olives. Damnit! the mop and glow on my kitchen floor is still wet and the olives are in the fridge!

Are they calling your name? Can you hear them?

"Sphynx! We're in the fridge. We're so green and tart, and yummy. Too bad you can't eat us!" *evil laughter*

I love all kinds of olives stuffed with pimento or nearly anything else. Heck I even love olives with pitts still in em.

No cookies? :( But that's just cruel! What are you, some kind of sadist?

Good thing I have a candy bar on top of my fridge. :nana:

I figured that if its okay to eat out once or twice a week, even if its not-good-for-me food, its okay.
Because the rest of the week, I eat homecooked stuff that's pretty good for me.
So it averages out okay.

And I don't explode for want of McDonald's french fries.

I'm not real fond of fast food restraunts. And I can avoid the cookie and sweets aisle. But some sadist put the candy bars and pop at the checkout counter, and that's what gets me every freaken time.

I have to avoid that place like it's a dentist's office. I can get into trouble with the biscuits.

I actually spent $100 the other day all on fruit and healthy stuff.
The only unhealthy thing was a package of those Pillsbury garlic breadsticks, because I'd wanted garlic bread for a week.
The 'rents brought me garlic bread. With cheese. And it wasn't even garlicky.
And I shared those.
Well, I guess the low fat fudge bars aren't exactly healthy...
But I bought grapefruit, and gooseberries, and cherries, and plums, and fibre cereal, and lots of stuff.

Woah there girl! Seriously, you have to be careful with those cherries. I got a whole bag of them last season and since no-one warned me and they were so good I ate the whole bag at work over the course of the night.

It's like eating the whole box of ex-lax resulting in something that could have been in the movie "The Exorcist".

Go easy on those cherries! :rose:

Not only cherries but ripe bananas.

Silly Betticus.

All fruit has fibre in it, you know. If your system isn't used to it and you eat a lot, there are two possible consequences.
But I really bought the cherries because my mum loooooves them, and half the bag is gone and I've only had a cup.

I myself can't eat dried fruit anymore or I sound like that guy from "the Dudesons."

I have the same problem with cherries. Don't leave me alone with the bag. I will eat them all.

I've also had to learn the hard way you don't go shopping while hungry. Amazing how many things throw themselves into my basket.

I have the opposite problem. When I'm very hungry, I can't decide what to eat. And if I don't have anything at that point, and must go shopping, it can happen that I leave the store without buying anything. Thank god I have friends who will just give me some food in those moments, doesn't really matter what.
