Posted an edited story as a new one instead of replacing the original. What can I do?

Hey there. I posted a story a while back then decided it was in desperate need of polishing so I reworked it a bit then reposted it. The FAQ says the proper procedure is to put "EDITED" in the title so they know to replace the original. I did that (well, not in the title box because there wasn't enough room) and made a note in the little box at the bottom also. But since I changed the title slightly I guess they didn't know which one to replace (my fault) so now I have both stories up.

I emailed them a couple of weeks ago (before posting the new one) and asked them to delete the story but they didn't, so I don't know if it's worth emailing them again.

Is there any way I can rectify this, or does anyone know the name of the person responsible for stories on the site so I can put attention to them and try emailing them again?

Don't e-mail them. PM them instead.

Send a PM to Laurel here: Laurel and tell her what's what. She should get it in a day or two and act on it within the week.
