Wondering if any authors here post to multiple locations or only literotica. The advantage I can see to posting in only once place, is that copyright infringement is easier to notice because you can inform your readers that you post only to one location. Any other location becomes an infringement on your copyrights.

I didn't even think about that but after reading about some stories appearing in a amazon anthology ebook I felt very violated to think that someone would take my work without my permission and try to profit off it. Makes me wonder if I should just jump into self-publishing myself. Of course publicly publishing one's work becomes a very thorny issue if you can't get a story published because of it's content (ie. incest stories). Then there is also the length factor, most publishers won't publish something unless its over a certain amount of words.

However if one wishes to remain anonymous, copyright a bit more touchy because in order to prove your copyright you may or may not have to reveal your identity depending on the situation. This is for those who don't want friends or family knowing that they write erotica. And those who don't publish their work for profit.

There was more I was going to post, but I lost my train of thought. Anyway let me know what you think.

Hello...some here also post on SOL, some post stories here as well as sell them (sometimes expanded versions) on eXcessica and other sites, and...bots steal stories from time to time and post them on unauthorized websites.

I pretty much cross post all of my stuff on two sites ( three for my third pen name ) with a few exclusives to one site or the other for various reasons.

As long as your pen name(s) is(are) consistent, it's not all that hard for readers to know where you've posted something, and where it's been posted without your permission.

I have posted to multiple sites. And then for a while I posted to Lit. and to sites that would pay me. And now I just post to Lit. only as a story site--and then only after the material has been floated for a while in published e-books.

I like posting to Lit., though, because it provides by far the largest potential readership.

LITs a convenient place to steal story material.

I also publish on Lush Stories, but there is too many people on there trying to have cyber sex with you and its gross.

I post stories on non-erotic sites under other nom de plumes. I've had stories stolen from this site as well...with no credit of course...and often butchered to fit around adverts...Philistines. :D
