Mary woke up, she looked around her and didn't recognise the place. she started crying and calling out for mummy.

A woman dressed in white rushed in to calm her. "its ok darling calm down you are in hospital mummy will soon be here"

Mary tried to calm down but could not stop sobbing, there were pipes and wires attached to several parts of her body. she felt strange and stiff.

A man who seemed like a doctor rushed in with a surprised look. "Oh my god this is unbeleivable"

"How are you? do you know your name?"

"Er my name is Mary" i replied

"And how old are you?"

"Im eight years old" the doctor and nurse looked at each other, and promising me that mum and dad would soon be here left me alone.

My mum came about half an hour later followed by dad but they looked different and older. Mum hugged me and cried saying she never thought be able to hold me again. I was so confused, and with tears in my eyes asked her what is going on.

My dad stepped closer, "dear you were hit by a car and badly injured. You fell in a coma, that is like a long sleep you understand?"

I nodded,

"that was 15 years ago, you have been in a coma ever since, now you miracolously returned to us when we had long ago lost all hope"

occ: Mary is a 23 year old blond skinny girl with a mind of an eight year old. She returned home after being for 15 years in a coma.

Any input will be welcome.

Mary's parents called at my office and explained the situation of their 'child'. I agreed to take the case and try my best to educate their daughter.

The next day when her mother brought Mary, I was totally taken by surprise. Even though the situation had been explained to me, not only did this young woman's educational level was of an average 8 year old, she even acted like one, naughtily touching everything, fidgeting in her seat, interrupting us while we were speaking, picking her nose, playing with her hair, and most of all she walked very clumsily, almost tripping several times but in the same time was very energetic not having a moment of quite.

When her mum told her that she would have to stay here she started crying, and it took her mum several minutes of reassuring for her to calm down a bit.

When mum left, Mary was still weeping softly. This was going to be my toughest assignment yet, how was I going to get her trust and then teach her all the classes she missed out on
