This is my 666th post so I thought I’d put a little something special up for my own amusement.
Though it was very early morning, your monitor came to life as if of its own accord. The familiar Microsoft music didn’t play, your PC just came to life. Nothing loaded, no firewalls or virus protection, no Yahoo messenger or MSN windows popped up, nothing, just a white monitor screen.
Then slowly, very slowly the glass on the monitor began to part as a cloven hoof stepped through it. Then the leg of a goat covered with thick black hair. The room filled with the stench of petrifaction as more of the creature slipped through the glass. The plastic casing of the monitor expanded without cracking, allowing the waist, the upper body and finally the head to slip through.
The creature stood there, a full eight feet tall, his yellow reptilian eyes scanning the darkness. His forked tongue slither out, tasting the air. Above the hairy goat legs the massive, muscular torso shown blood red with the waning light of the crescent moon coming through the window. It twinkled off the tips of his feral canines like a laser caroming off the tips of icicles. The large black horns scraped against the ceiling, scaring it deeply.
The eyes widened as the taste of human life lit lightly on the black tongue. The creature bent to pass through the doorway in search of that life. Your sounds of sleeping came to his ears as he entered the room. You tossed restlessly on the bed, trying to awake to the danger that seemed a nightmare.
“No Good without Evil. No Love without Hate. No Innocence without Lust. I am Darkness, and I am here for you,” the creature said, his voice like the echo from a bottomless pit.
He reached down, placing his talon against the soft part of your chin and lifting you out of the bed, piercing the skin and entering your mouth. Your eyes popped open with fear but no screams come from your mouth.
“Your death is sweet, your soul is mine puny one.”
(Not a role play, just some thoughts I’ve had. The devil made me do it.)
