Hello.
I am not an author, but I found a site that *might* be stealing stories from here--however I've been unable to confirm it. Let me tell you what I found and you can make your own judgments.
I was browsing the AskJolene site when I saw a story that began "This is exclusive to Literotica.com, if found elsewhere please notify FallingToFly.." I pulled up the list of "author's stories" here and at AskJolene, and at a quick glance they look identical:
AskJolene - FallingToFly
http://friends.askjolene.com/stories/author.php?id=41297
Literotica - FallingToFly
http://www.literotica.com/stories/memberpage.php?uid=662909&page=submissions
.
Someone stole my story from here and submitted it under a different name. BoomLikeThat is listed as the author. I've tried to get them to remove the story and have gotten no response whatsoever. And it's not even erotica.
I just posted comments on all of mine pointing anyone reading them there back to Lit ( though many already do that in the author's notes anyhow )
How much luck have people here had in getting their stories removed from AskJolene, anyway?
Just wonderin'.![]()
They have about 12 of the stories I posted here under my old username. C&P, not linked.
I have sent them cease and desist, tried to otherwise contact the site owners, made a note on each story that I wished them taken down and they were posted without permission and stolen from Lit...
Nothing.
Pisses me off no end.
sr71plt said:They've reposted 211 of mine. Am I going to bother to try to do anything to get them off? No. They were posted for free read to begin with, and this is just further dissemination of the stories.
I'm pretty sure they still have stories listed under my name that aren't actually mine, and I've tried without success to get them to stop that. I don't care about them displaying my stories under my name all that much, but the fact that they make me look like a plagiarist bothers me to no end.
But it's not looking as though there's much we can do about it anyway, sigh.
Nope, it's something. They have every one of my stories on there, under my Nom de Plume.
Here's a page that will give you the AskJolene site registration info and an e-mail address. They're registered out of the Netherlands.
Me said:Hello,
My research indicates that you are the owner of askjolene.com.
My story "Welcome to London" was posted on Literotica.com on 1-8-2005 in the Group Sex section. Here is the link. http://www.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=179129 .
Someone has stolen my story, placed their name on it and posted it on your site on 2-9-2009. Here is the link: http://stories.askjolene.com/73325/Fiction/Welcome+to+London!
I am the sole owner and writer of the story, and the copyright is mine under international law. Literotica is the only website with permission to post it. It has been stolen and reprinted verbatim on your site without permission. I require that you immediately remove it, pending legal action.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

I heard back from an admin, and they pulled the stories and banned the user entirely!
I just double checked, and it has been removed and the scurvy knave, er thief has been banned. All of their work has been removed which makes sense as I scanned some of "their" stories last night. They were harvesting from a lot of sources. I found several stories from here and one from the old Satin Slippers site.
I immediately sent the gentleman who responded a thank you email. I also warned him that he might get a tsunami because there are a lot of stories from Lit over there. I have gone through this before, and I was expecting a long kerfluffle with maybe a 50/50 chance of success. I was really pleased that they were so cool.
Even though I am still going to check them periodically anyway, just in case.
2. Ask them to stop (and/or get Lit. to ask them to stop). That seems to have worked a charm. (not)
