Hey all, thanks for whoever is taking the time to read this! I've been a reader of Lit for quite some time but thought I'd take things to the next level and sign up on here. Why? Or he was correct, either way we have no way of knowing unless the OP speaks out. I'd argue that you were just as shitty as he was for bothering to reply the way you did and kicking him when he's down.

I assume that he said what he said as a way of saying "goodbye and you made me sad for reasons unknown" as not getting replies for what from our perspective are genuine and thoughtful messages can be disheartening and can put us into... well I believe the technical term is "an emotional toilet full of icky stuff."

Zundas, there are so many fakes and the women get so many responses on this site, that one should expect to not hear back when replying to a message. If you do hear back then you should be pleasantly surprised. It is probably the norm that people don't get responses. If someone's emotional state is put into the toilet from the lack of response then they put WAY TOO MUCH into one reply. I get a little disappointed when I don't get responses, I only respond when "I" feel it is a great match; that doesn't mean she feel it is a great match. She may only take a few seconds to read the message along with 50 others and just not get back to it. It doesn't mean you aren't worthy or there is something wrong with you, it just means you didn't connect. Be momentarily disappointed and move on. NOBODY should let the lack of a response ruin their emotional being, or even let it ruin their day.

If someone gets that upset after the lack of response what happens if they do get a response and build an emotional connection on their end but the other doesn't and it ends? Are they going to be a stalker or commit suicide? It is a porn website, filled with beautiful, horny women. My advice (for what it is worth) is "take the loss and move on."

I'm not sure why you're directing this at me and not the poster that was originally being responded to, I never said that feeling that terrible after having such a thing happen was in any way healthy. The toilet was also of course a joke, I was exaggerating and making light of how badly some people can take rejection.
