Trust me while it may sound good to register Republican just to cause trouble once you are on their mailing and phone list you will wish you had never done it. I am a proud independant but one time sent an email to a Republican senator and representative for my area and all that came out of it was me getting tons of republican candidate mail and calling me asking for money for the party. So just be lucky you changed your mind.

No snow here (NE) either. I did get an OR driver's license, though. Slowly becoming an oregonian. Registered to vote at the same time. Resisted the urge to register Republican just to cause trouble....
