I believe that it's ok as long as you're not making money off of them. I have thousands of xrated pics on my computer. I love to post them, but I do it for the fun of it, not for profit. I think you'll be just fine.

I wouldn't save x-rated pics to an office computer, but if you're talking about pictures downloaded from the Internet and kept at home on a personal computer for your own use and not to sell or anything, it isn't illegal, to the best of my knowledge. Furthermore, it's hard to imagine the cops going door to door asking to examine your harddrive for naughty jpgs.
