...it seems that from interviews, many porn stars think that it doesn't count what they do on the job, because it's work or because it's girls. Now, I wouldn't mind them having others on the job, but only in the context of a truly open relationship. If they wanted monogamy (and if I actually agreed to it), they'd have to quit the biz (or turn strictly director/producer). Sorry to sound harsh, but other people are other people, regardless of context.

To put it in perspective, I'd ask them what they'd think if the shoe was on the other foot...if I were a porn stud and had other men or women as part of the job. Even if it was just a same-sex thing...it's still other people. Fair is fair.

Your thoughts?

Are there a lot of porn stars out there claiming they want monogamy from their SO while they spend all day fucking other people at work?

Or are they just saying they distinguish between the sex they have at work and the sex they have at home? One is the daily grind (sorry, couldn't resist!) of job-related activities (ouch, another one!) from which they are emotionally detached and the other is different to them because of the emotional significance of being with someone they have a romantic involvement with?

I've seen a few interviewed who did. Jenna Haze, for instance. But she only did girls, so somehow that made a difference.

Well I suppose as long as everyone is honest about what they want (and that includes double standards) then they can sign up for whatever they want.

Now I'm not a wordologist, but I'm pretty sure banging chicks outside the primary partnership would remove the mono- from the monogamy.
