Porn: Should I go back to the well?

So I haven't been writing much (actually, I have on and off, but not for Lit, and things're going slowly. I also haven't submitted a story here since The Spirit of Frankenstein (how many times now have I shamelessly plugged this?) back in '05.

Should I stop trying to write a "story" and just toss some basic porn-style writing out there? Would this maybe pick things up a little for me?

I curious what you think.

I reckon you should give it a go. Sit down and write whatever you feel like writing be it a short porntastic scene or a longer more complicated story with plot and shagging and such.

You need to write and submit more for us to read, definitely.

If what you're doing now isn't working for ya, then by all means try something else. The change of pace might be just what you need.

That's why I have 112+ stories started and very few finished....

How about: She's haunted by the ghost of her murdered grandmother who was murdered by the ghost of HER murdered grandmother and she tries exorcism but finds that the exorcist is the reincarnation of her murdered great-great-grandmother who wants revenge by making the living person murder her grandmother that she hasn't got because the grandmother has already been murdered...

Well, do you want to write a porn story or some other type? I say go back to the beginning. What amuses your brain? If it's a porn fantasy, roll with it. If you're interested in something else, write about that, you can turn it into porn or not.

One of my favorite ways to prime the pump is by simply reading or watching stuff about something I'm interested in. When I've taken enough in, it comes out in a new and interesting way.

Ahh, there's the rub.

Truth is, I do usually write what makes me happy, and it's what I care about, which is what causes the predicament. i write slow, but I also have been taking the little progress I make at a time too seriously, which slows things even more.

I've gotta check the poll results, but I think I'm gonna go for the meaningless porn thing, just to build the habit of putting words down again.

I'll be avoiding anyone's "Throbbing member or quivering love-bucket" for the record.
