Well, there're a number of dualities. Captain Ahab and the whale, Ahab and 'Ishmael' the narrator, Ishmael & Queequeg the harpooner are the three I can think of offhand, maybe Queequeg w/ either Ahab/Whale? Or is that a throuple?

Ahab/Whale: Maybe a semipsychotic Dom and a (non-submissive) BBW? The whole bit of Ahab's pegleg being made of whalebone tickles my fancy for this, just don't think replacing it with a dildo is the right twist.

Ishmael is subservient and 'beneath' the notice of the Captain in general, but is definitely in a follower role if not a sub. I'm thinking Smee to Ahab's Hook, or Blackadder's Baldrick. More a comedy than a porn role, methinks, but potentially useful for storytelling.

Well, you could actually set it on a whaling ship and highlight the man-on-man love that no doubt came with the long lonely nights.

Or you could just thematically lift the plot, and have the "white whale" be the unobtainable woman that the male MC yearns for. Years ago, she hurt him somehow, and now he is desperate to fuck her into submission. Maybe set it in a workplace, and she was promoted over his head, and now MC, along with his colorful coworkers (possibly one of them is narrating) all work for her.

A deviation from the original story, but this friend ship gets far more personal than Ishmael ever imagined.

Ishmael looks out of place In the Spouter Inn but as he bumps into the giant man he is initially is scared of Queequeg, however the two quickly become friends, and vow to accompany each other on the cold nights at sea onboard ship of Ishmael’s choosing, once they get to Nantucket.

Ishmael was unsure what he had agreed to but having Queequeg beside him made him feel safer in this god forsaken land.
