That's good question, I've often wondered the same thing. I'm pretty experienced when it comes to drugs, but never tried poppers. Do they really help? Or can you get the same sensations without them?

My experience was that they were very mild. More of a warm fuzzy feeling than a major physical change. It is a chemical, it does affect the body, but it just wasn't highly significant for me. They're inexpensive, though, so why not give them a try?

The slang name is poppers, but when you go into a sex shop to buy them you have to ask for video head cleaner. The euphemism used to be fragrance oils but that's apparently changed...last time I went I asked for that and they said "you mean video head cleaner?" Admittedly I hadn't bought any in years but that was a surprise!

I think they're the same thing. The only brand I can think of is Rush. I certainly didn't experience any ill effects but then again I've only done it a couple of times.

It's amyl nitrite BTW, not nitrate. It is indeed used for cardiac patients...I believe it has to do with increasing blood flow.

They mayt also be refered to as room odorizers as well as head cleaners. Rush is one brand name I cant think of any others atm.
