A requirement for Catholic Sainthood is the attribution of a miracle, and the Pope plans to say that Mother Teresa's healing of an Indian woman's stomach tumor was a miracle, which makes Mother Teresa (or her decendants, I suppose) eligbile for the one million dollar paranormal prize from the James Randi Foundation.

To be serious here...I was under the impression that the miracle clause was going to be waived in her situation. There is also supposed to be a certain length of time between death and sainthood that is supposed to take place but that will be waived as well.

She and her group of nuns performed miracles on a daily basis, in my opinion. That is what the general congregation is saying anyways. She gave of herself selflessly and endlessly. All technicalities should be waived.

Btw...it is actually a beatification not a beautification. Unfortunately, in this case there is no Canadian spelling rule applied.
