Pope to attribute miracle to Mother Teresa, making her eligible for $$$$

She had to perform the miracle herself? I thought that a miracle had to be performed "in her name", like someone was praying to her to heal someone else.

To be serious here...I was under the impression that the miracle clause was going to be waived in her situation. There is also supposed to be a certain length of time between death and sainthood that is supposed to take place but that will be waived as well.

Actually he's just trying to find a way to grant her Sainthood. She deserves it but you have to enact 3 miracles (I think it's three).

Ok so I'm not being fun. lol I think she should be a Saint.

No, a saint has to have performed a miracle. The wait is usually five years before you can even begin considering someone, but the Pope is waiving that. Still, it will take a while for the beautification to actually happen.

Just one? I don't know. I think it's just one. I think you're thinking of how many "Balls juggled".

Now THAT'S funny. Sick, but funny.

She and her group of nuns performed miracles on a daily basis, in my opinion. That is what the general congregation is saying anyways. She gave of herself selflessly and endlessly. All technicalities should be waived.

Btw...it is actually a beatification not a beautification. Unfortunately, in this case there is no Canadian spelling rule applied. :)

Dix, the word is beatification, no "u".

Also, since she's been dead for just over five years, the "saint wait" has already expired.

I know these are nitpicky little things, but they make me feel superior.

If you took me off ignore, you would see that he has already been informed of the correct spelling. :)

Now that made me feel superior. I know...it is just one wee thing but it made my day.

I answered the "u" thing above, and the Pope only waited two years after her death to begin the process, which has been going on for some time now.

I can juggle five balls with my dick on fire. Can I be Vice-Pope?

See what happens when you start a post and then have to go take a dump? I totally lost the element of surprise.

And if he started the "process" two years ago, what the fuck is taking so long?

He's only got to go up one more level for authorization, after all.

Wave your friggin' magic wand and get it over with, for Christ sake.

It's for Christ's sake that he does everything, my son. I'll hear your confession now...
