pop up hell

my computer seems to have contracted a bad case of pop up hell over the past few weeks and i dont know where its come from.

does anyone know of any products that are availiable free to download over the net to overcome this illness.

I use panicware, seems to get rid of about 90% of the pop-ups.

I use pop-up stopper too. It works well, but it sounds like something downloaded itself onto your computer.

What system are you running?

If you know how, check your startup options to see what loads automatically at start-up.

Also go to add-remove programs, and look for something that you didn't add...I found on on my computer called "save-now" that started itself when I started my computer. I removed it and it's all better. No idea where it came from.

Be careful that you don't remove something essential though.
