Naomi reclined comfortably atop her chair on the lifeguard perch, overlooking the pool. Dressed only in a red bikini and matching flip-flops, she went about her daily duties as...well, lifeguard. Her black hair had been pulled back into a bun so her hair would obscure her field of vision, which was pretty important in her line of work.

She was the envy of many girls and the desire of most men that came through here. Having lightly tanned skin from the summer heat, long beautiful and smooth legs and small, but firm breasts. She wasn't as conceited as some of the other female life guards though, and was more down-to-Earth than alot of them as well.

She kept vigilant, looking out for any signs of trouble, or anybody that might need saving!

The other girls charged ahead of Steph as the small group of five made their way out into the pool area. It was almost as if the other four didn't care it was her ninteenth birthday as they leaped into the water, splashing anyone even remotely close. It was a relatively cool day compared to the summer they'd been having and a brief gust of window covered her in goosebumps.

"Get in already!" Her friend Rosie called and Steph followed the order, climbing down the short ladder into the thankfully warm pool. She was always self conscious about visiting places like this, though people probably wondered why. Being a cheerleader, she was naturally a 'hottie'. Thin, with flowing blonde locks and a face anyone would regard as pretty. This was all well and good when wearing a layer or two, but in a bikini her shortcomings were open to anyone who cared to look. All her friends were the same average height as Steph but a bit more gifted in the chest department. Her mom always told her she'd develop one day, but it seemed that day hadn't yet arrived. "Boo!"

Rosie as always the pinnacle of maturity splashed her out of deep thought, which Steph naturally met tit-for-tat. Time to actually start having fun on her birthday.

Naomi tilted her sunglasses and looked at the new group of girls wearily. Though splashing was by no means against the rules, more than once she had seen it lead to more dangerous activities.

She licked her lips as she eyed one of the girls, a blond with a nice body and an undeniably pretty face. She just hoped she would be alright, whoever she was...

"We're going deeper, you're coming right?" Rosie was an idiot sometimes. She knew Steph wasn't the strongest of swimmers, yet she always went deeper into the pool or further out to sea (Their familie's had holidayed together many times). So she followed her friends as her feet floated of the ground, meaning she actually had to swim instead of walking. The other four seemed to kick up a gear, leaving her lagging behind in the trail of foam.

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, played over and over in Steph's head as she tried to ignore how deep the pool was getting. She approached an elderly couple chatting and noticed they were the only other bathers this deep. As she was only inches away from them, the old man turned and accidentally striked her on the back of the head with his elbow. The hit knocked Steph out almost immediately and she sunk to the pool floor before the couple even had a chance to call for help.

Naomi blinked, trying to piece together what had just happened. The beautiful blond she had been admiring seemed to have disappeared under the surface in the blink of an eye. And she wasn't coming back up. Without a second thought, she jumped off the perch.

She kicked off her flip-flops and waited for a second longer to make sure she wouldn't just pop back up. And she didn't. Naomi stretched for a quick moment and then dove in artfully, propelling her self through the water easily and sped toward the girl.

She saw her, sinking fast to the bottom of the pool. She swam up beside her, wrapped her right arm around her waist and kicked off the bottom of the pool with her foot, using the momentum to propel the two of them up toward the surface.

The cool air awoke her like a slap to the face. She had no clue how long she'd been under, which was luckily not much at all. Realising she was in the tight grip of someone (Probably a lifeguard) and was being pulled to the side of the pool, Steph attempted to aid the situation by kicking. After a few seconds of adjusting herself to reality and a blinding pain in her head, she realised her saviour was female.

I'm dead. Was her first humorous thought, likening the lifeguard to a modern day equivalent of an angel. Strong, dark and tanned. Quite different to her own bright and pale form. As they reached the edge of the pool, she got a good look of the woman and she really was beautiful. Steph couldn't help but smile until she heard the annoying screams and yelps of her friends. Nice to see her nearly drowning wasn't ignored...

Naomi looked deeply into the girls eyes, her own deep blue ones scanning for any signs of damage or permanent harm. She was relieved to see none, but the girl seemed a little out of it none the less, judging by the look in her eyes and on her face. "You alright, hun?" She asked in a gentle tone, cradling the girls head in the nook of her arm.

"You alright, hun?" At those words, she began to feel a little embarrassed in the woman's arms, even more so now in the presence of her friends. Managing to raise herself slightly, she was aware the lifeguard still kept her afloat by gripping her waist. Steph liked having her contact in that way and was a little speechless. It soon passed when she had to interrupt Rosie attempting to make the story seem worse than it actually was.

"I'm good." She nearly asked how the woman was in return, but thought then was certainly the wrong time. "Though I might have concussion?"

Steph new she didn't, but hopefully it meant being taken away from the pool and her friends. Taken away so she could spend more time with this woman who'd saved her life.

"I see." Naomi replied in the same gentle tone, watching the girls interaction with her 'friends'. It seemed alot more...well, more hostile than she would expect interaction between friends would be. At least on the blond girls part, who seemed annoyed at the rest of the group.

"Alright, if that's the case, let's get you checked out." Naomi helped the girl to her feet, holding onto her waist to make sure she could stand on her own. "The med-aid room is just a little bit away...you can walk on you're own, right?" She continued, trying to show the girl she was genuinely concerned about her, as opposed to her friends.

"Alright, if that's the case, let's get you checked out." The woman was surprisingly strong, but she guessed that was a requirement being a lifeguard. As she was helped to her feet, arm still wrapped around her waist, she noticed the couple from before. It seemed the old man's wife was giving him hell, the poor guy. "The med-aid room is just a little bit away...you can walk on you're own, right?"

"Yeah, sure." Upon saying that, everything went a bit wierd for a second, causing Steph to wobble slightly. But the woman held her in place, still there for her. "Actually, I'm not so sure."

"When will you be back?" Rosie called after her in a mock tone of caring. She though for a second as she gingerly made her way along the edge of the pool, the lifeguard by her side every step.

"In a minute!" She guessed, without even turning to face her friends. She added, muttering to herself, "Like you care anyway."

Naomi smiled to her self when she heard the comment, but decided she would ask about it later. She helped the girl along the way to the medical care room, making sure she didn't fall or even wobble again. They reached the room in good time, Naomi pushing the door open and flicking the light onto reveal what looked like a smaller version of a doctors office, clean, comfortable and well lit.

She helped the girl up onto the bed, and grabbed a flashlight, shining it in her eyes and moving it back and fourth. "Some friends you have." She remarked in a joking manner as she did so. "Name's Naomi, yours?" She asked as she checked for signs of a concussion.

The room was nice, it felt like they had real privacy. She struggled slightly to get onto the bed, but got more than enough help from the woman. She then proceeded to shine a small flashlight into her eyes, which Steph never understood how it helped to tell whether someone was concussed.

"Some friends you have." She groaned in agreement at her words, guess it wasn't hard to spot superficial people. "Name's Naomi, yours?"
Naomi... All other names seemed sub par in comparison. As Naomi touched her hand, for a second in passing, it was as if Steph had suffered a small electric shock. She jolted slightly, before smiling the incident away. The only times she felt like this was when she had a crush, but they'd only ever been on boys or the odd teacher. Never on a woman.

"Steph." Normally she introduced herself as Stephanie, but that didn't matter.

Naomi smiled, flicking off the flashlight and placing it down on a shelf. She then began to look gingerly through Steph's hair, looking for the bump she knew would be there. She found it after a few seconds of sorting through her wet blond tresses, making sure not to hurt her too much, she tapped the bump gently.

"Well Steph, you do have a nasty bump here. But I don't think you have concussion." She stepped back, looking at her with a small, polite smile when she realized she had her all to her self. Quickly she pushed that thought away though. "Mind telling me what happened out there? I caught only the last few seconds of it."

Her touch on the lump hurt slightly, but it was ignored, she was too excited. Something about Naomi made her nervous wreck.

"Mind telling me what happened out there? I caught only the last few seconds of it." She wasn't too sure what happened herself. She presumed the old dude knocked her out, but it didn't seem intentional. Well she hoped it wasn't, though the thought of a killer old man seemed more humorous than terrifying.

"Some old guy accidentally elbowed me as I was swimming past." The scenario caused Steph to giggle slightly a bit longer than she should have due to nerves. "You're magnificent."

If you asked her now why she'd said it, she couldn't have told you why. It was one of those spurr of the moment things that felt perfect in her mind but sounded silly in the real world. She'd couldn't even remember if she'd said the word 'magnificent' before.

Naomi blushed slightly, but noticeably at the compliment. This was just her job, and she wasn't used to being complimented for it. She tried to shake her bashfulness off, grabbing a towel and wrapping it around Steph's shoulders.

"Well, thank you. It's my job, glad to hear I'm good at it." Naomi replied, stepping back and looking Steph from head to beautiful toe, taking a moment to fully appreciate just how beautiful she really was. She snapped out of it after several long moments, realizing Steph might have seen her staring. She quickly decided to continue the subject. "Now, don't take this the wrong way or anything...but I'm guessing you're not the best swimmer in the world, right?"

Her blushing was oddly cute. She was used to saving peoples lives but get's embarrassed from compliments by small-chested nineteen year olds. In the prescense of Naomi, she felt kinda self conscious in comparison. She didn't know why, it was only the two of them. Close and alone.

"Well, thank you. It's my job, glad to hear I'm good at it." Steph barely maintained eye contact with her, but on a passing glance noticed she was staring. It wasn't the first time it had happened to her, boys did it all the time. Was she really getting checked out? No... she was being silly, Naomi almost certainly had a boyfriend. "Now, don't take this the wrong way or anything...but I'm guessing you're not the best swimmer in the world, right?"

Good observation. But Steph thought for a second, she got knocked out. It's not like her lack of swimming ability caused her to nearly drown. Was there a chance Naomi had been watching her?

"How would you know?"

She simply shrugged. She had been thinking the same thing, her being knocked out was hardly her fault and said nothing of her swimming abilities. But it would be embarrassing, and she guessed it would sound slightly creepy if she said she had been watching her.

"Well, I...uh...well, honestly I watching you and your friends. When you started splashing, I thought it might be trouble. When you swam over to the deeper end, you seemed hesitant. Like you didn't really know what you were doing..." She finally replied, hoping she had made her observation innocent enough so that Steph didn't get suspicious.

"Well, I...uh...well, honestly I watching you and your friends. When you started splashing, I thought it might be trouble. When you swam over to the deeper end, you seemed hesitant. Like you didn't really know what you were doing..." Despite the long pause, the reasoning seemed believable enough. Steph would have accepted it, if she didn't keep blushing. You could read this lady like a book. As the seconds of silence went on, she desperately attempted to think of anything to say. Just so she could stay there with Naomi and watch her, hear her (With privacy of course).

But she was feeling cautious and everything sounded stupid in her head. 'How long have you been a lifeguard', 'Your hair is nice' and 'You're too beautiful to be real' didn't seem very appropriate. So Steph just sat silent, savouring their remaining seconds.

"Well I guess I better go back to the Hyena's."

Naomi nodded, saddened that her time with Steph was coming to an end. But a brilliant, or seemingly so to her anyway, popped into her head. Before Steph could leave, she place a hand on her shoulder.

"Hey, tell ya what. Closing time is in an hour or so, if you want, you can stick around and I'll give you some swimming lessons so this doesn't happen again. Just the two of us. What do you say?" She asked with a warm smile, hoping she would accept the invitation.

"Hey, tell ya what. Closing time is in an hour or so, if you want, you can stick around and I'll give you some swimming lessons so this doesn't happen again. Just the two of us. What do you say?" She felt so unsure how to reply to this. As much as she disliked her so-called friends outside, they had plans. Steph's mom didn't like alchohol so the five were planning on going to some older boys party. This was all Rosie's idea, she was still in the mindset that if she sucks enough cock, she'll be the most popular in the group. Her Dad didn't have to pick them up and they were taking their things to the party, a bad idea in itself.

Naomi's hand felt so good on her shoulder, the contact firm and exciting. The thought of them alone together again, how could she resist? Even if it was a crush she couldn't act upon, there was no rule about how much time should be spent together... There was no way Steph could say no to that smile.

"Okay." It was a simple enough reply, but her nerves made it sound like she caved in. She didn't feel under pressure, it was excitement at the prospect. Once out with her friends again, she retold what happened in the office a few hundred times and what exactly occurred in the pool a few more. The pointless poolside chatter wasted away enough time that the hour passed like nothing when another life guard announced ten minutes until closing. "I'm sorry guys, I don't feel up to going out partying. I'm staying here for a while to get some lessons."

"Oh we understand." Rosie speaked for the other three again, she may as well have grabbed them and shouted 'MINE' at Steph. "Well goodbye."

Relief washed over her as she watched the group go over to the shower/locker room area. She hadn't seen Naomi again, so Steph just sat patiently, occasionally dipping her toe in the still warm pool.

Naomi passed the time by doing her typical rotations with the other lifeguards, switching posts with them every fifteen minutes like she did on any normal day. Today, however time just didn't seem to fly fast enough for her. She was eager, excited at the prospect of spending more time with Steph, this time with them having the whole park to themselves.

She hadn't had a steady boyfriend, or a girlfriend, or anything in almost a year now, and sex in almost that long. She had hit a string of bad luck lately, which she obviously thought, sucked. She was only twenty-one years old and already hit a dead end in that area of her life. She hoped that would change soon, though.

As the other lifeguards and the remaining swimmers cleared out, Naomi approached Steph on the edge of the pool and placed her hand on her shoulder. "Hey there..." She said with a grin.

OOC: Oops, thought you hadn't posted. :D

IC: The hand on her shoulder made her jump slightly, but she quickly relaxed in the realisation of who it belonged too.

"Hey there..." Just seeing her again made Steph break out in a wide smile. She really hoped her friends had gone, Rosie could spot when she had a crush from a mile off. Noticing the light beginning to dim, she wondered how Naomi had managed to secure them staying at the pool which was about to close at any minute. Well it's probably easy to think why, nobody (Male or female) could probably say no to her.

"Thanks for this. Are we really going to be the only ones here?" Steph really hoped so. She'd rather not have some failed footballer who earned pittance telling kids to 'stop playing', watch them. Especially as she was planning on spending every second Naomi was preoccupied staring at her defined body.

((OOC: Lol. That's alright. :) ))

"No problem. And yeah, I am. I made sure of it." Naomi replied with a nod. A single life guard being allowed to stay behind with a "friend" after the pool officially closed wasn't that unusual. In fact, the practice was quite common with some lifeguards, though Naomi her self had never indulged in this privileged until tonight.

Of course, when she had finally asked to use this little perk, no one had said no to her. Along with her good looks and charm, most of the staff knew it was her turn, anyway. Naomi sat down beside Steph, dipping her feet in the water alongside hers. "Ready whenever you are."

"No problem. And yeah, I am. I made sure of it." That didn't mean anything, Steph told herself. It was probably common practice and done out of pity. Where would she go even if it did mean Naomi felt the same? She hadn't ventured upon mentioning the L word to herself, but that's what this crush was. It obviously wasn't unnatural, but was she really ready to go that extra step? "Ready whenever you are."

Steph turned to look at the woman next to her, the words as if she actually had read her thoughts. An idea quickly entered her mind, and it was one that would certainly decide the length of the lesson. If it went badly, the meeting would be short to say the least. As Naomi looked at her expectantly, Steph leaned in and placed a brief kiss directly on the beauty's lips. Before a reaction could be made she slipped off the edge and swam under the water. She wouldn't be able to stay under for long, of course.

Naomi blinked for a moment, as if trying to figure out of what had just happened had really happened. Steph had just kissed her! A thousand thoughts ran for her, but most prominent among them was a sense of joy that Steph felt the same way about her as she did. Another was a sense of excitement, eager to see where this would lead.

Quickly, she dived in after Steph, cutting through the water as elegantly as she had done earlier, quickly catching up to her and wrapping her arms around the girls waist before swimming to the surface with Steph in her arms. "Well...I guess class is in session." She said, allowing Steph to get a few deep breaths before she leaned and kissed her, her right hand teasing her breast while her left tickled her stomach.
