i like polls...it's interesting to get a summery of opinions at the begining of the thread.

sometimes on here the few louder voices drown out the many quiet ones and a poll makes everyone even in that respect.

sometimes certain opinions are jumped on and flamed...a poll give these opinions a safe way to be expressed.

I like polls. But I think the answer would be either too many or not enough.

They can serve a purpose, but like with anything that provides a multiple choice of answers, I often find there is not an option which accurately depicts how I feel or think, which then becomes frustrating. It gives a view and a voice, but is it an honest unbiased one when a poll is constructed by one person, and with limited responses? That is the downside of them....too much limit and possible skewed outcomes without a chance to say what you really want to say, instead having to choose the words of someone else to agree or disagree within a predefined scope of response. LOL, this is why I didn't like research though I managed to get high marks in it at university.....learn to play their game their way.
