Just curious how folks feel right now about getting vaccinated for coronavirus?

100%

It's inert, a section of genetic code attached to a protein and it will likely give me an above 75% chance of not getting sick when coming into contact with this virus...it's a no brainier!

I expect to see people dying from other causes after receiving the vaccine, and a new conspiracy theory touted by Trump.

It looks like the verification folks are ignoring Grim Reaper Trump on getting it out and I won't be in the first two waves of those taking it, so, sure, I'll take it as soon as my turn comes up.

I posted earlier today how this Covid vaccine is thirty years in the making...the first practical application of mRNA gene splicing. No more "killed live viruses".

Coming up within 2 years: mRNA technology transforms adult stem cells into much more useful embryonic stem cells (which are now harvested from aborted fetal tissue)....this has meaningful political ramifications, depriving conservatives of one of their key whining points.

I'll wait and see how many people get sicker from it than don't.

Evidently that's the single drawback to mRNA vaccines...they pack a gut punch. That's why you need two doses, one at 33% strength to "prep" your body 's immune system for the main payload, which is administered a week later.

But hell, nothing could be as bad as the "new formula" Shingles vaccine.

Given both companies refused Trump monies...this is a safe vaccine. Both my daughter and I will get it

mRNA vaccines will replace all existing vaccines, and many problematic diseases that haven't had vaccines developed...will.

I'm dubious ,but I will probably have it having been in lock down since March .

Since I'm pretty far down the list of who'll get access to it. Not old, no risk group, not essential, I'll have plenty of guniea pigs ahead of me. Unless they all turn to 28 Days Later freaks, I'll take my chances when it's time.

I'm fairly high on the UK list. If I get COVID my chances of survival are low - so I will have the vaccine(s).

Jesus Christ. The asswipe governor of Florida, DeSantis, is telling people they only need the "first" vaccination.

The first vaccination shot without the followup "full" dose two to three weeks later is useless.

I had Covid-19 early in the year and didn't even know it, and none of my family and friends have suffered anything worse than flue-like symptoms when they were unfortunate enough to catch it. Our lives and livelihoods put us in close contact with too many people during a pandemic.

I don't know if I'll get it this year, but I make it a point to stay healthy year round, and look at that, all that hard work paid off. :D

If I hadn't already of had it, I'd take the vaccine as a precaution, but since Covid had no effect on me, I might not. Who knows, in 5 years everyone who took it may develop cancer, or not, so it all depends on need.

Right now I don't need it, so, I'll probably wait while those that do get it first. If I needed it, I'd take it.

I'll take it when it becomes available to me, probably sometime in the spring with the general population.

I trust the vaccine, at least as far as I trust anything.

The better question is, with vaccine?

The two cousins of mRNA vaccines that has all the hype right now, yes, very interesting and I do believe that's the future promising fast, on-demand vaccines for almost anything. I root for it to the point I will have to actively watch for a supportive biases out of myself.

However it's a bit unlikely I myself would get to it anytime soon (poor small EU country, not a risk group personally), so we will know more.

As I understand so far it should be expected the second shot may quite likely give a light short fewer I fear we will hear a lot about as it will be overblown into some kind of major issue.

The more traditional vaccines, well maybe the historical failures were for lack of real interest (who would vaccinate against "common cold"), but it may be a more tricky case.

Now, the far other end, the Russian case. They are rolling out a thing officially tested on, something like 18 individuals? A bit hard to find any reliable information, but they are pushing it out hard, with warnings to not use alcohol for as much as 40 days... yes, with Russian crowd during holiday season, ridiculous. Luckily, I'm not under serious risk to be offered that, and seriously, I would take even the Chinese thing over that, they at least had sizable program on their soldiers way back in September or so, and while we may never knew real results of that it couldn't be too bad if they are going forward, even as the political gains are high, so are the potential losses if it backfired.

Had that.

MOTHER FUCKER!

My Pussy Boss took the next day and a half off.

Me, I'm stupid and broke so I had to work.

It was touch and go if I stayed hour by hour!

I had a flu shot at the same time...

I was only half paying attention to the local news but I thought I heard them say the vaccination was only good for four months.... wtf?

If you're referring to Shingrex, I agree. I got my 2nd shot of that yesterday. The 2nd one isn't as rough as the first one was, but damn.

Anyway, I'll get the COVID shot as soon as I can.

FDA analysis confirms the Moderna vaccine is a stunning 94.5% effective and is officially certified for emergency use.

I'm getting the vaccine.

I'll be happy to take the Pfizer vaccine. They took no gov't money and have consistently stood up to Trump. It has nothing to do with his Administration.

Unrelated fact I worked for Pfizer for a year. They have LOTTTTTSSS of $$$$$$$$. Their "campus" was the most luxurious place I've ever worked.

Trump created the urgency in Pfizer to come up with a vaccine. He green-lighted them to get the job done as fast as possible.

Thank you, President Trump, for not only lighting a fire under Pfizer's ass, but in also helping them produce more life-saving doses of the vaccine.

Carnal, you said sack, everyone knows the only reason you have to say President Trump didn't help is because you know President Trump did help. :D

How many whore-related STDs did they cure you of during that year?

my answer hinges on the political movement that seeks to actively punish anyone who does not get the vaccine by withholding lockdown relief in which case i immediately go from option two to option four as it is my tax dollar too

this is the power that we have yielded to our government in our panic
