Are there any politician out there (Republican or Democrat) that you think is good in the following categories essential for lawmakers.

-Are they good at formulating and proposing policies or legislation?

-Are they good at seeing legislation through the process into actual laws?

-Are they good at communicating their vision to the voters?

-Are they good at handling tough questions from the press?

-Are they good at arguing their points in debates?

-Are they good at galvanizing their voters behind their vision for the country?

-Are they good at appealing to independent voters to vote for them?

-Are they good at instilling a sense in the public that they have things no matter what under control?

-Are the good at being in touch with the trials and tribulations people are facing in their lives and sympathizing with them over it?

-Are they good at reaching across the aisle if they have to in order to accomplish their goals?

-Are they good at standing up to the other side when they need to?

-Other?

You can choose any politician you want (Republican and/or Democrat) and give them a grade from F to A+ in these categories. You may if you think I missed one add in a category you think is essential for a politician to have as well to my list here.

FUCK NO! Both political parties are corrupt to core so the question is moot. There's a reason why 45,000 Americans die needlessly from lack of healthcare. Because both parties represent their donors and not the voters. The Congress and Senate are nothing but whore houses for the corporate class.

New study finds 45,000 deaths annually linked to lack of health coverage

It estimated that lack of health insurance causes 44,789 excess deaths annually.

The majority of UK politicians would be marked highly on all those and:

Do they sort out their constituents problems? The majority would also get good marks for that, although some are better than others. My local, long-serving MP would score very highly because of his efficient staffers. If I, or anyone else, want him to attend a local event, he will be there unless his parliamentary duties are essential at that time, in which case he would let us know as soon as he knows he can't be there.

The UK has the NHS. If any politician of any stripe or political persuasion tried to end that in favor of the American system they'd be dragged over the Bridge of Sighs kicking and screaming to live out the rest of their short lives inside an iron maiden.

I'll start it off to show how it's done with Pres. Joe Biden.

-Are they good at formulating and proposing policies or legislation?

I think I'll give him a B- here, downgraded from an A mostly because of the drama behind Build Back Better.

-Are they good at seeing legislation through the process into actual laws?

I'll give him a D- here since he allowed members of his own party to threaten and take hostage BBB and the whole time he stayed practically invisible. Sure we heard he had talks with Manchin and Sinema, but if he did those conversations were completely ineffective. Still a watered down BBB is better than no BBB so that saves him from getting an F from me on this.

-Are they good at communicating their vision to the voters?

I give him an F on this. When speaking he often has slips, makes gaffes, sudden reversals. It's distracting from what he's talking about when I listen to him. Also his vision of going back to normal was not really motivating to me.

-Are they good at handling tough questions from the press?

I give him another F here. His comments about that Doocey guy and during the2020 primaries there were times he was rather rude to reporters asking him tough questions. It gives him an air of entitlement. "Like how dare you ask me that kind of attitude". Also there times where he just gets lost in answering a question. He's just not good at it. The only people I think are worse are Kamala and Trump.

-Are they good at arguing their points in debates?

I give him a D- here. Though that may be because I disagreed with his points or found them rather shallow.

-Are they good at galvanizing their voters behind their vision for the country?

I give him another D- here. Mostly I'm not sure what his vision at this point is or rather I'm not sure I see how what he says is his vision and the measures he's taking match.

-Are they good at instilling a sense in the public that they have things no matter what under control?

I give him a F here. The right likes to play him as a senile fool, and frankly I think his actions and responses have done little to disabuse anyone that he isn't that. On the other hand, that kind of accusation is one that's very hard to defend against. You either believe it whole-heartedly or don't whole-heartedly no matter what he says or does.

-Are the good at being in touch with the trials and tribulations people are facing in their lives and sympathizing with them over it?

I give him a B+ here. On an individual basis he's marvelous at conveying sympathy for someone's suffering, but in general he's okay bordering on pretty good at it. What he's doing to assuage or stop their suffering though...that's a different question, and I don't think there's a politician in America that would get a passing grade from me on that.

-Are they good at reaching across the aisle if they have to in order to accomplish their goals?

He's good at trying to do that, but under the current situation in the GOP towards anything seen as working with Joe Biden...he gets an F from me on this, because it just aint happening dude.

-Are they good at standing up to the other side when they need to?

He gets a C- from me on this. He was decent enough I suppose at standing up to Trump, but standing up to Trump is easy. That man places any and all democrats in a position where they have to stand in front of the MAGA tank in Tiananmen square. Stand up to Mitch McConnel...now that would be something that gets an A+ from me.

This is how it's done with Biden. 45,000 dead Americans on his watch. He's nothing but a corporate whore.

Biden: I Tried to ‘Prostitute Myself’ to Big Donors During First Senate Run

You run the risk of deciding whether or not you're going to prostitute yourself to give the answer you know they want to hear in order to get funded to run for that office," Biden testified during the program.

Biden admits he decided to "prostitute" himself, but was denied because of his age.

"I went to the big guys for the money," Biden said. "I was ready to prostitute myself in the manner in which I talk about it, but what happened was they said, ‘Come back when you're 40, son.'"

In Joe Biden, the Health Care Industry Has Found Its Guy

A new survey conducted by a Biden-linked firm is workshopping Biden’s own attacks against Medicare for All. His campaign is part of a multifront corporate effort to defeat the policy.

I don't disagree, blues, but that isn't the point of this topic. The point is to grade a politician by categories you think are essential for one to have. And if you looked I gave Biden rather poor grades in several of those categories.
