David Toms, a relatively obscure golfer from Louisiana who won the 4th major of the year today gave an interesting victory speech. The tournament was played outside of Atlanta and when asked about crowd support he made a reply about being a redneck like most of the people in the gallery. I thought it was very politically incorrect. But like blacks calling each other nigger, we rednecks accept another redneck calling us rednecks. When will redneck become politically incorrect? Probably never. But it is interesting that most of the highly publicized racial incidents of the past 10 years have occurred in California, New York, Ohio, Montana, and Massachusetts. Well, there was the dragging death in Texas, but we need to rally around these unfortunate dropouts from the village of liberal thinking and fight hard to stop their execution.
