The 45th entity to seat its backside in the Oval Office chair, has made it a point to perorm publicity stunts.

No. 45 invaded a charity event, that honored the legitimate donors/contributors He inserted himself on the stage, where he had no legitimate place. He displaced a very generous man, that was due for recognition, and awards. Why ? To generate (false) publicity for himself. This stunt damaged the charity. No. 45 did not give a fuck. No.45 had brought large, violent goons, to insure his invasion and illegitimate insertion.

The legitimate charity members had a choice. Pull him off of the stage, and cause a disruption, and a brawl, or play along with No.45's perpetuation of a fraud. Children were there. It would have put the children in danger of injury.

Very Russian of No.45, to bring a threat of violence, threat of bad publicity, threat of injured children, to what was expected to be a happy celebration, and a reward to good people, that performed good deeds. He transformed it into a horror. Blackmailed into submission.- "Nice party you have here. It would be sad, if something were to happen to it." *leer* "Just give me fraudulent publicity that I seek, and there will not be any trouble. I do not give a fuck, either way. I would be happy to see bloody noses. If it bleeds, it leads in the news. Either way, it is a win-win, for me. Fuck you, bleeding heart, respectable, goody-goody snobs."

No. 45 brought a loyal cheerleading group to a C.I.A ceremonial event. He seated them in the front row. The senior officials ground their teeth as the cheerleaders applauded remarks and opinions, that they would never had approved of. What should have been an pleasant honor, was now a humiliation. No. 45 transformed a respectful ceremony into an infomercial and a soapbox for No.45's ridiculous claims.

No.45 pulled off another fraud, at the C.I.A's expense. The C.I.A. did not know that No. 45 would not honor an unspoken agreement. This was not the respectful, solemn speech they had anticipated. Once, again, No.45 had created a situation for the hosts of the event, that was horrible. What could they do about it ? No.45 had the C.I.A officials in a bind. No. 45 used the Langley headquarters, as if it were just another of his golf resorts.

No. 45 slimes everything that he touches.

Who is the 45th entity? If you mean the 45th person to be POTUS, he or she is not known yet.

Maybe, I need to read this book.

Not since the Nixon Administration, when Spiro Agnew called them “nattering nabobs of negativity” have reporters seen their integrity challenged with such reckless ferocity as during the first weeks of the Trump administration.

From his White House podium, the new president regularly called them “dishonest,” purveyors of “fake news,” and finally “enemy of the American people.” His senior advisor Stephen K. Bannon called them “the opposition party” and told them to shut up.

Although it never stooped to such name-calling, the Clinton campaign and its surrogates kept up a daily barrage of press criticism throughout the campaign. Other criticism came from beyond the campaign organizations and sometimes from within the profession.

"We have no intention of “shutting up,” as Trump advisor Bannon suggests..."

Blurb-
Bob’s new book, “Overload: Finding the Truth in Today’s Deluge of News,” in which he examines political journalism in the age of fake news, the 24-hour news cycle, and more.

Now you're dissing Grover Cleveland, who held terms #22 and #24. A great baseball pitcher was named after him. I expect less illustrious people to be named after #45, who's not likely to serve two separate terms. What a wimp.

I'm not dissing anybody; I'm just saying old Grover is not two entities. There have been 44 entities (your word)to date who were entitled to sit in the chair you mentioned, although I strongly suspect others, such as a janitor, have sat there on a lark. Given the chance, I would have done so. :D

What's a POTUS? Is that a racist orange moron? I bet it is.
Currently.

I'm more than amused by the acronyms. POTUS, FLOTUS, SCOTUS. I think of potatoes, floating debris, and scrotums. Who's next? PGOTUS for Postmaster General (piggy), SGOTUS for Surgeon General (cigs), sure, but who else?

I can't process my disgust at this Administration. It's beyond me at this point.
I'd agree but I try to process toxic absurdity -- and I'm contrary.

Devil's Advocate: Suppose none of this much matters, that Tromp isn't really effecting change, only snips around the edges. Nothing transformative in healthcare, taxes, infrastructure, security. Nasty work, slashing rights, protections, health, relief -- but those aren't existential issues, just rat-fucking the opposition. Systemic inertia will prevent catastrophe. Hopefully.

Or else, we're really fucked.

With luck, Trump will get mostly obsolete programs cleared out before we get rid of him and then folks who actually want to do some work can build up programs again and just suspend the wall nonsense.

Personally, I would like to see the model for the 30 foot high transparent wall with solar panels that, not only can't be climbed or dug under, but will stop drugs, people, crime, change the economy, create factory jobs and whatever else it is supposed to do. I am having a hard time envisioning it.

We just had another horrible mass shooting.

Everything in the past week has been to distract from the gun debate and what happened in Vegas. That fuckhead Pence went right from the "memorial" service to Indiana to pull his little stunt. Trump was thinking about how to set that up all through his trip to Vegas. Now we're talking about NFL and Corker and IQ tests and Hollywood instead of what really needs to be talked about.

People went to a concert and came back paralyzed, blinded, dead. Kids with no moms for the rest of their life. Burying the woman you've been married to for 32 years. Young girls just out on a date, their makeup still on.

Did anyone register there was a guy mowing down people with a homemade machine gun? Hello? Someone said the casualty rate was worse than any of the battles in Iraq.

Someone posted on youtube a raw, uncut video of a first responder to the "ground zero" of the concert and let me tell you it is not for the faint of heart. Everyone should see it. It's a fucking war zone. Blood, death, horror. The more we keep sweeping the truth under the carpet the more it's just going to happen again.

I see what you're saying but I think you're missing a larger point: the erosion of democratic norms. Specifically, we have one party (the GOP) whose sole mission is to hurt, destroy, damage, and harm -a country they supposedly want to be in charge of- for the purpose of giving rich people more money.

If that means not even having a hearing for a Supreme Court vacancy? It's fine.

If that means defending literal Nazis? It's fine.

If that means damaging the environment and infrastructure beyond repair? It's fine.

If that means pandering to Nazis, gun lunatics, racists, and other assorted mouth breathing fucks? It's fine.

Just as long as the rich get what they want.

Yep, again.
