I despise political correctness in all it's forms. The Australian National University, School of Nursing, recently directed its teaching staff to eradicate the terms 'mother' and 'father', in favour of 'gestational parent' and 'non-gestational parent'. This is so we don't offend same-sex parents. They also outlawed the term 'breastfeeding' in favour of 'chestfeeding'. So we don't offend transgender parents. I suspect 99.9% of the population think this is all total bullshit, so why are these changes happening? Because the silent majority don't say anything, allowing the vocal minority to run rampant. The good news is the solution is simple. The next time you hear someone spout this PC BS, just say, "Mate, you're a dickhead." Believe me, the vast majority of witnesses will agree with you.
How many agree with Vandemonium here? Is there a silent majority?

I remember Conservatives on this forum making fun of liberals - daily - for using politically-correct language.

Then, they started being labeled "deplorables". And they lost their shit. They're still losing it.

Asking them what politically-correct term they prefer to be called doesn't go over too well. šŸ˜Ž

Conservatives are obsessed with right-wing political correctness. They label any Republican who disagrees with their cult leader a "RINO". They seek extreme control over the majority of women in America, and those who disagree with them are called feminazis. Immigrants from south of the border are generally labeled as drug dealers, thieves, and rapists. Black protesters are called thugs. Peaceful people are labeled as "pussies". Those willing to cooperate with others in society are called Communists.

And, when they cross the line and get arrested as a result of their control freak methods, they demand to be recognized as victims, not perpetrators. They demand that you honor their "safe space" They feel entitled to act like boorish bullies just because they are armed.

Yes, their version of political correctness is a huge drag on normal people who want to get along with each other.

Good talk, Russ.

I'm liking that new term mentioned here ... dickheads. That sounds politically clear. Well, maybe two terms: dickheads and clitheads. Then that might not be politically correct either, perhaps: clittydickchests. Is that more inclusive?

I thought it's called woke now...or dei or blm or antifa....or......
Don't forget CRT!!!

we fought a war on CRT, after all.

and then Woke went to Florida and died.

or something like that...hrmmmmm...

Good point, and I might add that ESG fits in there somewhere. All these new-style acronyms look like typos.
The only thing that fits are.grievances that all go through right wingers heads. It doesn't ever matter what it is because it's all just shoved into the same "left" delusion

Like all cults, the thinking is black and white.
Egalitarianism is sort of a cult, isn't it?

I always liked the Moral Foundations analysis:

1. Care: This foundation is related to our long evolution as mammals with attachment systems and an ability to feel (and dislike) the pain of others. It underlies the virtues of kindness, gentleness, and nurturance.

2. Loyalty: This foundation is related to our long history as tribal creatures able to form shifting coalitions. It is active anytime people feel that itā€™s ā€œone for all and all for one.ā€ It underlies the virtues of patriotism and self-sacrifice for the group.

3. Authority: This foundation was shaped by our long primate history of hierarchical social interactions. It underlies virtues of leadership and followership, including deference to prestigious authority figures and respect for traditions.

4. Purity: This foundation was shaped by the psychology of disgust and contamination. It underlies notions of striving to live in an elevated, less carnal, more noble, and more ā€œnaturalā€ way (often present in religious narratives). This foundation underlies the widespread idea that the body is a temple that can be desecrated by immoral activities and contaminants (an idea not unique to religious traditions). It underlies the virtues of self-discipline, self-improvement, naturalness, and spirituality.

5. Fairness
a. Equality:
In our theoretical reformulation of MFT in 2023, we defined Equality as ā€œIntuitions about equal treatment and equal outcome for individuals.ā€
b. Proportionality: In our theoretical reformulation of MFT in 2023, we defined Proportionality as ā€œIntuitions about individuals getting rewarded in proportion to their merit or contribution.ā€
Liberals are concerned with 1, 2, and 5A; conservatives care about 1-4 and 5b.

If you call it a master bedroom or master switch, you are personally responsible for enslaving six million minorities, disabled, LGBT, and women.

They are going to have to translate Nietzsche's "Master Morality" as "Administrative Morality" or something.

Iā€™m not sure about your conclusions šŸ¤” there šŸ‘†šŸ¼ but if my sub doesnā€™t refer to my sleeping chamber as Masterā€™s bedroom, she gets the leather. (She kinda likes that though, kinky little thing)

"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect."

The "visually challenged" are still fucking blind and the "hearing impaired" are still fucking deaf. I can take any word or phrase and turn it into a pejorative merely by changing the tone and inflection of my voice. The PC are just on a power trip trying to enforce meaningless bullshit on others. Fuck'em.
