The pirate scans the horizons behind the Lamore Di Drago with great care, looking for sails, friendly or otherwise as the wind blows through his close cropped, blue hair. He does not expect any, having preyed on this area for a long while and planned the attack quite thoroughly. No one should be coming this way for days. He grins as he quickly descends from the Crow's nest, black eyes sparkling merrily, a bounce in his step at the ease with which the prize was taken. He says to his First Mate, who waits at the bottom.

"As we thought. Not a single sail to be seen. We did it again. Lost not a single man, picked up plenty of booty and even got us some wenches. The men shall be happy when we come into port in a day's time with the large profit we've made. Though with the captured women...theyll be at least be content til then. Six months without a woman takes a toll. Amazing how willing a woman will be when faced with walking the plank isnt it?"

The man chuckles and scans across the deck of his ship as he speaks, watching as the crew fixes the damage they can, which is rather minor for a battle against an English Destroyer, but still enough he'll feel better once she is fixed completely. His look is loving, for as the name implies, Jack loves his ship and sees his crew almost like family, many of them having been with him through many a battle, the good getting better and the weak left at the bottom of the sea or in a port somewhere.

He has worked his fingers to the bone since the age of ten to get his own ship, damn near every waking thought on it til it finally happened, in part thanks to the man standing near him, his mate, the man who helped him round up a good beginning crew for the ship Jack had built for himself. He grins, catching a coversation between two passing near about the wenches he was just mentioning, wondering when theyd have a chance at them.


Soon enough. Once your shift is over. They're drawing lots now. Every man gets a half hour with one of them.

Jack laughs again as the two cheer, and keep moving, carrying spare sails to replace the ones shredded in the fight. At the thought of that fight he thinks about the fact that so many were on a ship. Some of rather high rank and why they were so underguarded. The ship was a notorious pirate sinker but even still. They would fetch a pretty penny in ransom or as slaves. He didnt really care which so long as he gained gold. His thoughts wander to the woman is his cabin, tied to the bed, it having taken several men to put her there, after she had tried to do serious damage to the Cap. She was a fiery one, and haughty. Rich as hell to boot. He knew her from court but she did not know him to his knowledge, having too much disdain for the pirate/mercenary captain. At least he knows who she is supposed to be. Some cousin or another of one of the royals. Even looked like the princess herself many said.

"Take over for a while. Im going to have some fun with the lady in my cabin."

He grins at the wishes of luck and being told to have fun as he goes belowdecks towards his cabin where she presumably lies, still tied. He rubs his side without thinking, to the bruise she left with a brutal kick the first time he tried to pick her up. This should be fun as hell unless he is interrupted.

In theory Liam was in the Crow's Nest to keep watch for any ships that might be in pursuit or perhaps just randomly in the waters. In reality he was musing over the precise species of cloud overhead. It wasn't shaggy enough to be a wolf, the tail was the wrong shape too but it couldn't be a dog. Dogs didnt' get that much larger than pigs and that was definitely a pig up a head carried by the same winds propelling the ship.

Most people wouldn't dare walk out across the taut ropes of the sails. For most it would be a gaurantee'd broken leg if they got lucky and more likely simply fall overboard. Liam looked natural though half heartedly checking all of the knots. That was the result of having grown up on the docks or on the open seas.

As tragic as his youth was it never occured to him that it was. His parents had abandoned him, or been kidnapped. Perhaps killed. It didn't matter much, he really had never spent much time at home anyway. His family had always been poor so stealing, begging, occasionally pick pocketing had been a constant not just for him but for his father. His mother. . .well the six year old hadn't been able to process the grunts and groans and different men constantly in the house, and the twenty somethinger honestly didn't care. One day he'd returned home and they didn't. It was that simple.

Liam continued casually checking the rigging until he noticed several dolphins just starboard. It was a whole school of them leaping from the water. Maybe it was a pod. Whales formed pods not schools. Of course maybe dolphins formed something different. Like crows formed murders even though most birds formed flocks and bundles of sticks formed faggots.

Generally they didn't bother shouting at him. It simply didn't do any good and he was talented enough with rope, and blade that the Dragon wasn't going to be leaving Liam on some random island.

It has been two days since he was set adrift from the HMS Goliath. It was so that he could think about what he done, Challenging the captains authority what a bunch of bull shit. They didn‘t agree with what the Captain did. However, they knew what happened to the last one who openly opposed him he got 50 lashes and it killed him.

“I wished they’d at least dropped me off near an island” he replied as he took a sip of water from the jug. He had to make his food and water supply last until he reaches land or if he runs into another ship that will take him to port.

A shadow quickly caught his attention; by the shape of it, he figured it to be a sea gull. He watched as it landed on the bow and looked at him with its eyes blinking as it turned its head at him.

“So are you here to be my good luck charm or what” he asked the bird as he sat up and looked at it.

In the distance, he could see thick black clouds forming and the sound of thunder echoing in the distance. It was a going to be a big one and he better make land quick or risk the boat being destroyed and with him the possibility of drowning.


He watched as the bird took off and flew over him. He turned his head to follow it, to see where it may go. Maybe it would fly towards an island if he was lucky a port. As his eyes followed the bird as it disappears into the horizon, he could faintly see a port. It was still a ways from where he was. He may not be able to make it before the storm arrive but he sure in hell try

What ever chores he had needed done she did without question. She had thrown herself into her new life, learning all she could from who ever would teach her. She was now 25 and very much a woman and skilled swords woman. In 9 years she had earned her place among his crew and gained their respect she was viewed as one of the boys.

It was a bit of a joke when ever a new crewman was added he was always dared to approach Bella for a quick roll in the hammock, Bella expected it and the crew loved setting thew rookie up for a huge down fall. He'd settled on wolf after all that deliberation if for no other reason than it cleared his mind and allowed him to think about other things, or meander about other things. He was far to unfocused to really think about things.

The seas quickly became choppy as the storm slowly closed in. like a cat to a mouse, slowly stalking its prey and suddenly attacks very swiftly. Winds hallowed and thunder echo all around. Lightning soon flashed lighting up the darken sky.

Back and forth, went the boat as the waves tossed it around. With him being the only one in the long boat, it was a little hard for him to row to the port. Waves of water quickly splashed in his face as water began to fill the boat up. Moving quickly he started to dump water out with a small wooden bucket.

“Just my luck” he cursed as he dumped bucket after bucket of water out, he looked up to see how far away the port was. It was closer but still a ways away he could let the waves bring him in but that was risky choice but what else did he have at this point and time.

With each passing second, he could feel the boat lifting into the air and slam back into the sea. Maybe he was to die today; the thought never really crossed his mind even when he was engaged in combat. To drown out in the open seas and not in combat to him that was life and he had to take it as it came.

The boat almost crashed head on into the dock, but another wave prevented this. Several men came running out to help him on to the deck and tie the boat off. “Are you crazy, taking to the seas in this boat,” a man shouted as he pulled him to the deck.

“I like a little adventure” he replied as he used his hand to shield himself with his hand from the rain. He watched as the man shook his head in disbelief and led him to the nearest tavern to get out of the rain and into a dry place.

Putting her knife back in its sheath, she relaxed her stance and glanced behind to Liam "looks like they have another one to draw lots for.....you may get lucky yet Monkeyman" there was no real humor in her voice for she didn't take pleasure in what would happen to the stupid wench but it was not her concern and it wasn't her so she kept her feelings to herself.
