Poetry help

I'm interested in submitting some poetry for Lit. I've read the Faq and Submission guidelines. I believe it implied submitting poetry through Pm's. I've read it twice and still can't figure it out. I can't even find the submit button!

So, how is this done?
Also, is it a good idea to send it through an editor first? Or are the editors there for reviewing after it's been posted?
Is it a good idea to post poetry just for the enjoyment of others, or is it actually a competitive thing? I really don't want any recognition, although I will be posting under the name I always use.

**Edited to add that I did use the search function to look for help but it turned up moot. I'm not being lazy this time!

Go to the story index page (via the link at the bottom of this page,) and click the "login" link at the top of the page. That should take you to you site profile control panel. On the left side of that page there is a link to "submissions" which will take you to your author's page -- where youwill find the links for submitting stories and poetry, and the stats on everything you've already posted. One of the things you can set on each submissions is whether you want people to vote on it. (I've never done anything through the poetry submission page, but I'm pretty sure it has the same options as the story submissions page.)

PS: If it asks for a username and password, they're the same as for the BB login.
