Is it just me, or do you find that it's really tough to find online venues for serious poets?
I recently found one site that looks promising:
http://www.poetrycircle.com
It's part poetry magazine, part forum, and has some well-known contributors -- including Lynn Lifshin, Richard Kostelanetz, and others -- mixed in with lesser-known names. An editorial staff keeps the inferior work from clogging up the board, and writers use real names, which I find refreshing in this age of people hiding behind "screen names."
But I find this kind of thing the exception and not the rule. Does anyone know of a list of good outlets online for serious writers of fiction or poetry? I'm not looking for the dross that you find on poetry.com and other horrible web sites.
