There is an illustration contest going on in the sub category on the AH.
We have to find an author other than ourselves to illustrate one of their poems.
Anyone interested in having me sketch something for an "Evil" themed poem?

I have enjoyed the Art challenges / contests, I have been writing poems for the Art work I have done and await their postings. Any one who wishes to write a poem about these drawings and create an illustrated poem, I am sure if they ask the artist of these drawings that they will be honored to be a part of an illustrated poem. <grin

I'm not sure where your vision will lead you with this... but, welcome --

There in the alley, menace moves beneath
a shadow, dressed for no good.
Purpose vague and undefined,

darkness oozes into corners too deep
to be soothed by the feeble wash
of watery light from the porch.

Every shrub shivers with this shade.
Fear drips off each twig. Tonight
he comes to murder smiles
with the bullet of unkindness.

Im not sure what you are saying here, but, what Im getting from your post is to have a picture sketched and someone write a poem around it.

If thats the case, I dont think thats how Halo intended it to happen. I think the idea is for someone to offer up their poem to be illustrated. To see how someone would interpret a poem in the form of a sketch.

Sorry if I got the wrong idea, if you have a poem and want me to give it a try let me know.

Ive printed off your poem to take with me for the weekend. Already I have an idea and will sketch it out and email it to you before I post for your approval. Can you PM me with an addy to send it to?

well, no ma'am

last time, dark-glasses made a thread encouraging folks to go vote at the visual art challenge... (one moderator) removed the thread because it had nothing to do with poetry. So trying to keep your thread from being removed I tried to encourage poets to go look, vote and possibly write a poem about a certain picture that they may like. This forum differs from most, it has a strict moderator/ miserably un-american that acts faster than the gong show about removing threads if they don't have anything to do with poetry. So I was trying to keep your thread active by suggesting poetry writes from visual inspirations in this challenge... "Night"
