Um... no, I'm not asking where you put your poetry.

Today there were 50 new poems. Because I have to much spare time on my hands I arranged the titles (yes I used every darn one) into a poem (of sorts).

It reads much better if you read it in a bizzarro-Hallmark overly dramatic voice with a hint of teenage angst..

Feel free to jump in with your own combination or find poetry in something or other and post it here.

There is nothing new under the sun.

I've posted such a poem or two, made of titles (in their alphabetical order!) here on this board about a half a year ago. Also on rec.arts.poems, without telling the audience about its "secret". I even got some compliments. The text has read naturally, just as another poem.

In 1990-1991 and then again in 1994-1995 I had posted "poems" made up as follows: I would egrep (select) all lines on rec.arts.poems which had appeared during a period of time (perhaps one month or one week) which featured a given, not too common word or similar. These "poems" were quite long. It was an interesting read.

But the one (or two) I made of the titles was a real poem, because I was actually selecting the titles rather than taking them mechanically as they went. A big part of art is just that, a selection from a rich environment. And 200+ titles was rich enough.

Marek Lugowski

"Concrete poetry" of high artistic value, admired even by his "enemies", was created in the past by Marek Lugowski out of old newspaper news articles or texts of instructions how to operate something like a vacuum cleaner, or from ads.

(I've written about Marek in the past on a few occasions. Besides being one of the elite Internet poets, he is also a superb translator and he leads his publishing house ASGP, since its inception--check it on web).

Party-poop wet-blanket. Try and have some fun one day - you might like it.

Senna, OT has done this before as well. And yes, Marek's poetry is wonderful. :)
