Hello folks,

Seven days ago three of my five pending poems got published on this forum. Two of the poems had a rather realistic setting and the third was characterized by being more fantastical.

Suffice to say, the latter got the most views due to the above mentioned fact. Does this mean people on this forum would rather read poems which are not mundane?

Hi and welcome to the poetry forum. :rose:

Your poems were published on Literotica, not this forum. We are totally separate from the publishing side of this site. We're a sub forum on Lit's discussion board. We post and discuss poetry here, sometimes review poems that are published (in the New Poems Recommendations thread at the top of this page), and that's about it. We have zero control over what happens with Lit publishing.

Your fantasy poem may have piqued more interest. It depends on who (and how many) happened to notice it. It's hard to generalize based on a few views. I have noticed in recent years there seems to be more interest in supernatural/fantasy stories, so maybe you're right. Either way don't be dissuaded from writing more if that's your thing!

As Angeline said, your poems didn't come here and will only be seen by those that click on New Poems which is open to the whole site.
If you specifically want them read here, start a New Thread and post them asking for critique.
By the way welcome, I hope you will stay and join in.
