Among the incompetent cabinet secretaries and senior advisors that surround our elderly and confused president, the one known as “Mayor Pete” stands out. Supply chain and travel disruptions amplified by chaos at airports, railways, major ports, and trucking lines have placed the inexperienced former small town mayor in the national spotlight. Not surprisingly, the transportation secretary is reacting to the spotlight in the same way deer often react to automobile headlights. Frozen and bewildered. Now two senators from his party are shouting for him to come out of his catatonic state and actually do his job. Will the wake up call succeed? Summer airline travelers certainly hope so,

Not much he can do. The industry has a mass shortage of pilots.

Maybe the fed can roll out a recruitment campaign for the industry

They're targeting him to cover for that fact that they're not doing their job legislatively because quite frankly a lot of their constituency likes the high gas prices. So they blame Putin, greedy corporations and Republicans for supply-chain issues (Republicans didn't wear masks remix).

The airline prices are high due to gas prices and pilot shortage. Neither of those things are something Pete can address.

They certainly are using this for political means...I don't disagree.

Fuck me to tears, but you really do cherry-pick when you read things:

Senators Warren and Padilla have called for specific actions. Granted, they are not the sharpest knives in the drawer either. It’s unfortunate that Biden chose someone with zero transportation and logistics experience in government or industry to lead this department. We’re all paying the price.

The only thing that needs to happen is that airlines need to train more pilots. About 95% of the problems would be solved by that. There are no government regulations preventing that

Warren and Paula could immediately pass a pause on the gas tax which would do a little bit, but not much.

He can't help it. After the 3rd word he forgets the first one. By the 5th word he's wondering when he can have a lollipop.

Does it make you sad? I read it. Sorry you didn't like my response. Until more people are trained, the problem will continue.

They can't blame "The Left" if they use logic.
