PM Spam

So.... I just joined the board this morning, and since then I've gotten about 20 spammy PM's from the same "user" inviting me to chat/text/sext/whatever. Not at all interested and from the volume of messages, I assume it's some sort of bot or automated command targeting new members. I've deleted about 10 or 12 messages since I joined and I've gotten eight messages from the username since I was last active a few hours ago. Got four messages from the user that were basically identical as soon as I posted for the first time.

I assume this is not normal? It;s kinda annoying. I don't mind simply deleting the PM's but I'd be happier if they didn't keep popping up. Is there a way to block them altogether?

Looking at options, I can disable PM's or only receive PM's from a buddy list, but I hate to go that far. I may never have a use for the PM system, but i'd like to keep the option open just in case it becomes of use to me.

There is the ignore list which strangely enough (I know shock horror) should do what you want. Located under UserCP >Miscellaneous > Buddy/ Ignore Lists > second box.

Forward any PM spam to laurel. She will delete the user and their account.
