Not exactly a how to, but I figured it would get the most responses here (since it would be swallowed up whole in the GB). I was wondering if anyone knows a good website for plus size lingerie. It's nearly impossible to go shopping in a store for some. And I mean sexy lingerie like all the thin women can wear. Not just bras and panties and such. I've been considering getting something special for Valentine's Day and a possible picture series. If anyone can recommend any so that I don't have to sift through the sites on google, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! :)

Where I buy mine

Fredericks of Hollywood sells decent lingerie for us folks that aren't pencil thin. (and above)

You can buy online at http://www.fredericks.com

But, once you order from them online, you will get emails about twice a week with different specials. Spam or good bargains, you decide. I suggest using a different email account.

Thank you, Sheath and JRaven! The links are really helpful. Now all I really need to do is try to figure out what would look best on me...it's so hard with all of the choices. :)

Shit, I have a bunch of these sites saved for Wife on our "get-bent-I-ain't working-right-no-more" PC. We just got a new one and I hope to get evrything straightened out soon.

I know Miss T likes to shop at Catherines if you have one around.

Just do a google on what you posted here, lots of great places.

And FWIW, I think you're delicious, in or out of unerwear! ;)

big boobs

I have a VERY large chest so I looked at so many stores. I think Lane Braynt has very pretty stuff but their sizes stink. They only carry 36(which is the biggest 36 ever) and up. So even though they carry my cup size, they are to loose under my chest but I'd give them a try cause their stuff is very pretty.

My problem is that I'm a large girl with a small chest. My band size is large, but my cup size is barely a B, so it's impossible to find bras. I'm looking at all this lingerie, and they would probably fit my body, but I'm afraid of the tops being baggy and unflattering. Hopefully stretch tops will work for me.

I REALLY enjoy this site, and I have noticed they have a really wide variety of clothing and play outfits, including plus sizes. Good stuff here!

Classy stuff.

I agree! I can rarely find bras, especially sexy ones or ones designed for outfits with halter top or backless styles.

And when I do buy clothes lingerie to fit over my chest, the rest is usually way too big :(

Where do you live? If you live in Canada, I'd recommend going to an Addition-Elle. They have WICKED lingerie. I recently saw this gorgeous black sheer corset with red roses around the breast-line for just a hundred bucks.

Maybe search Addition-Elle online and see if they've got a website?

I have the problem of being too big to fit "regular" (ie. made for twigs) lingerie, and too small for plus sized lingerie. I hover anywhere from a size 9 to a size 14 (Canadian sizing) in clothes, depending on the make--but even a size 14 at a "regular" store is too small for lingerie! And a plus sized 14 is much too big...

grrrr...I hate the in-between weight... :(

what kind of lingerie were you thinking about?

A baby doll. Something pretty, flattering, and sexy all in one. Something that won't make me look too much like a big cream puff.

A baby doll isn't all that hard to fit, can you sew?

I second the Lane Bryant idea! They just came out with some super cute lingerie, very beautiful. If I had someone to wear it for, I would totally spend my money there! Plus they give good coupons if you join their mailing list.

Good luck!

College_geek, ahem...I've seen your photos and you're lovely. As you said you may have issues with finding something to fit if you think you need a smaller cup size. Looking for a particular style on some of the fab sites mentioned may save you hassle and money.

My suggestion would be try to find a baby doll or short chemise style in a stretchy lace, cut with an A line style. This style generally doesn't have a cup as such, just kind of drapes softly from the shoulder straps without covering too much, the see through effect of lace is sensational and the bits that cling show off your curves beautifully.

Something soft and well cut without too much frou frou is worth investing in and if you find something sensational that fits and you can afford it, buy two! A girl can never have too much lingerie.

Finally, I recently bought a very pretty slip type affair from Dream Girl with the most gorgeous black fringing around the bottom hem, don't know what it is about that fringing but it makes me feel a million dollars, kind of shimmies over my legs and other places in the most delightful way, highly recommended!

Go get'em girl.

Sorry I can't resist a plug...my article below is about the seductive power of lingerie and how to get your lover to slowly undress you. I'd be thrilled if you had a look at it.:D Have fun.

Thanks a bunch, rain, for the compliment and the advice.

Looking at all these sites and seeing what pieces that they have to offer, my new dilema seems to be thongs/g-strings. I have never worn one before and suddenly have a fear of trying one on because of my extreme flab. I'm afraid that it will look bad and out of place on my body. I suppose that I'll just have to get a cheap one and see how my boyfriend likes it; if he likes it, then that make me glad and I'll be more likely to wear it. Oh well, we'll see.

I also have wide hips and a more flabby tummy than I would like. I don't look good in a thong and I'm guessing that you probably won't be happy with your body in a thong either.

It's OK... Sometimes it's better to go with lingerie that looks good *on you* rather than wearing a fashion that was designed for Ms. Average.

You might try something fuller in the front and maybe "thong like" in the back. With your shape a fuller "French cut" might work better and be sexier.

Even that probably wouldn't work for me. The only underwear that works with me is the brief style because it goes over my flab and belly button. Any style cut that would go below would not look flattering at all. *sigh* It's a vicious cycle until I can break it and lose 100 pounds over a few years.

I understand... I've played around with a lot of lingerie in an attempt to look good in a mirror and in my husbands eyes (although he's much easier to satsify than I am).

The big thing is that you don't have to wait for the 100 lbs to come off before looking sexy...

This is a bit OT but you might want to check out www.junonia.com for some "conservative cut" briefs. They have stuff that looks *damn good*. They also have some wide hipped women so you can see what the clothes "really" look like.

One of my favorite things is to wear a pair of snug briefs *over top of* my pantyhose. They have to be "sheer to the waist" hose to make it work. Junonia's "Soft Support Swim Briefs" aren't underwear but they look kind of like cheerleader panties and they work very well.

The combination of briefs over hose can let you wear a side-split skirt with a split that goes to the top of the thigh... in public. If the skirt and briefs are the same color, you don't have to worry as much about people accidently seeing the briefs. They're modest enough to not reveal anything but leg.

The reverse strategy (this is for BF's eyes only) would be to skip the panties alltogether and wear a garter belt that covers the hips (http://www.secretsinlace.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=382) along with lace-top stockings (http://www.secretsinlace.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_prod.html?p_prodid=406). That way there's so much going on at the hips that your BF's eyes are drawn away from anything unflattering. His eyes are focused on the thing he's most interested in anyway. :)

A corset, merry widdow or bustier might also look good on you. It would also allow you to add padding to the one side to balance out the breasts.

http://curves.com/main_curves.cfm has removable pads that feel and look natural under a bra. Using one on the one side but not the other would help.

One advantage of corset + garter belt + stockings with no panties is that you don't have to take them off before having sex. (again, not something I would wear in public but something fun to be chased around the house in).
