Plot Ideas from Typos?

I have closed captioning turned on in my TV, and every so often see a typo that is humerous or as happened earlier today, see something that strikes me as a possible plot idea or story title.

The program I was watching mentioned problem caused by a "heroin addiction" but the closed captioning spelled it Heroine addiction. It made me wonder just how you could get hooked on heroines and just what you'd have to go through to feed such an addiction.

Anyone else get plot ideas from other people's typos?

Way back in the early 1960s I used to go to the local 'cheap' cinema.

Saturday mornings were for children. Saturday afternoons were for adults but the films were those not on general release that were bundled with the good movies. Most of them were no just B-movies but C or D.

One I remember with affection. It was an Italian made Hercules epic dubbed into American English by whoever happened to be around. Hercules had a high tenor voice, almost squeaky, but the script for the dubbing didn't match the Italian dialogue. So Hercules would say a few sentences but the dubbing would say 'Hello'.

They had left the original subtitles as well as the dubbing. The subtitles were more expansive but not really English. The 'Hello' would have subtitles such as 'I Hercules called. I big man. I smite you not let woman departing'.

After the first few minutes the audience were reading the subtitles out loud, drowning the dubbing. Hercules had to return for a second week by popular demand. The second week the audience organised itself so that one part of the men did Hercules, some of the girls did the heroine and some the various other scantily clad women, and the rest of the men voiced the villain and other heavies. The cinema was sold out and we enjoyed ourselves.
