Dear Unregistered,

I don't know who you are, so I can't hate you.

Please, stop sending computer viruses and corrupting all my files. I'm begging you. If you are human enough to feel, you'd understand how it's like to lose all the hard work you've done with a click of a finger.

Sending out viruses is out of order.

You've really ruined my day.:(

I'm sorry to hear this kamuikamui

I do hope whoever it is stops. and that there isn't any permant damage to your computer :(

Kamuikamui get your ISP to track your incoming email then report it. It is against the law to knowingly send computer viruses so why not just zap the little fuckers. Report it and get them prosecuted...

How is it they are sending you computer viruses but you're not able to track them down? The email should contain a return address. I'm no expert - one of the gurus here will know better than I - but chances are very good that the source of the virus may not even know their computer is infected. Most viruses nowadays infect a computer, then send themselves through the person's email program to any email address on any webpage that person visits. I would suggest emailing the source of the virus and making them aware that they are infected so that they can run a scan and clean it up.

One word.................delete!

If it's from someone you don't know, don't download it. Plain and simple. Correct me if I'm wrong but you can't get a virus just by opening an email, You have to download it.

Dear Unregistered,...

Does this mean you got a virus send through the E-mail link here at Lit from an "unregistered" person, or just that you have no idea who is sending the e-mails?

Klez is a nasty worm. It infects a person's puter and that puter will start sending infected email to everyone on that person's list from fake addresses. It sounds like you're getting virus mail from addresses that don't exist. There is no message, just attachments.

Check Norton's website.

Excuse me, but, since no one said the obvious...

INSTALL A FUCKING ANTIVIRUS PROGRAM AND KEEP IT UP TO DATE!!

Just in case anyone hasn't.

Not installing one and going on the net anymore is like having random, unprotected sex with a couple thousand strangers IRL and expecting you won't get an STD.

Firewall, anti-virus, control your cookies and...

delete anything you're not sure of BEFORE you open it.

If viruses are still getting through track back the computer's ISP address (ZoneLabs have a handy add-on for that) and report them. After you have made sure they are not doing it innocently of course.

:)

Right now, this big nasty virus is going around the internet & it's causing all sorts of problems...

The other thing to do is go into your e-mail & turn off preview pane. If you have that open, it's just like opening an e-mail. Also make sure you have all the latest patches from Micro$oft.
