Very interesting poll I do hope you are not trying to make fun at the expense of the gay community. I was wondering why you have posted it but whatever your motives this might give you an insight into my life.

My name is Charles (38) I was 23 when I got married. I loved and still love my wife Rachel (33) and we have been married now 15 years and we have two lovely daughters Hanna 14 and Lisa 12 we also have a boy called Jonathon who is 7 but he is not my biological child however I adopted him when he was 1 and would not be without him when I turned 30 I new things were not right I can not explain it they were just not right we went through some marriage guidance concealing (not much help) and I ended up going to a psychiatrist it was during these sessions with her that we explored the idea I might be gay but that I was in denial (which is quite often the case.) she put me in touch with a councillor who specialised in homosexuality. It was only during the sessions I had with them both that I found out what my true sexual orientation was, during this time my wife and I split up and we were apart for almost 3 years during this time I had several affairs with other women mostly within the office I worked at but non of them rely were satisfying as I missed being with Rachel and the kids.

In 1994 I met a man called Allan this was in Southampton UK he was a very kind and caring man and was happy with who he was and what he was (sexually speaking) he was and still is a queen and camps it up when ever he has the chance. It was about a month after our fist meeting we began a relationship he new I had history but he loves my children almost as much as I do, and they and Rachel love him almost as much as I do. We all live in Winchester UK now I live with Rachel and the children and I see Allan work involves him being out of the country a lot but when he is home we are together.

I need the stability of my relationship with Rachel but I don’t think I would be alive now if it wasn’t for my relationship with Allan.

The point of this is: I still live with my wife and I love her very much but I am gay and nothing will change that. My wife and I have a very happy sex life and this is not the same as the sex life I have with Allan. I am not out of the closet and I don’t think I will ever be totally out but it works for us there are so many men and women in heterosexual relationships and stay in them just to be normal.

To answer your question. MsLinnet has got it about right my best friend at the time moved in on my wife but when she fell pregnant he jumped ship so when we got back together I took him for my own
