Don't snow tonight. I should not complain. This has been the warmest February, setting all kinds of records. It has only snowed once. The American birkebeiner went from a 42k cross country skiing race to a 5k because rivers that needed crossing were not frozen and they had to truck snow in from parking lots, anywhere that it had been dumped just to get 5k worth. Norther wisconsin economy took a big hit there, not to mention no snow for snowmobiling... tourism is one of the major industry up there and I am sure they are feeling it hard up there. In the Madison area we almost hit 70 one day last week and they are forecast 60's again this weekend. However, right now, there are tornado watches for Northern Illinois and southern wisconsin and it is supposed to snow up to 5 inches here tonight.

Is everyone having unusual weather this year? Or has wisconsin slipped over the Rainbow and into the land of Oz where anything is possible?

It's a very nice winter here in Anchorage

Dollie

We've been to Madison in summers.
Last summer we left sunny and warm Florida returning to central Illinois. So afraid of snow and ice. So far two little snows and the little bit of very cold we just stayed inside. Even the bad weather coming and other times it's been all around us.
Hubby says this clean living pays off.

Exceptionally mild winter here in Houston, I think I've worn a light jacket exactly twice and my winter coat has not seen the light outside of my coat closet.

We've had random daily deluges of rain that cause flooding (that last 12 hrs or so), but the ancient catchbasins here (WW2 vintage) have worked exceptionally well since the Tax Day Flood last year.

Too much happening on the house to deal with a renter. Besides, I would not be a good landlord.

I'm an exceptional renter. I am also a workaholuc that can't sit still so I am Co Stanly working. Your loss

Let me know when you are up here again we can grab a drink!

I just did Laundry which included sundresses, ok I mainly wear them at home bit 60s??? Heck yeah I will be rockin one and sandals the weekend

Winter? What's that? Currently 83 and partly sunny. The "cold" front coming through tonight will be knocking us down into the mid 60s. Perfect for getting some much-needed yard work done.

Spring sprung here a week ago. Been unseasonably mild since early December. Supposed to get below zero by week's end a some snow.

It's been my kind of winter here so far. We even had a stretch of 60 degree plus weather which is largely unheard of. Our weather guy said last Friday our low temp was the highest ever recorded. I feel sorry for people that make their living by removing snow. I think we've had a grand total of less than 6 inches of snow all winter which all melted within a day or two.

I just hope we don't get a cold snap in March or April that kills all the blossoms.

Tornadoes and 60 here today, snow tomorrow and then back up to 65 this weekend.

Looking at lows around -18°C and highs around -10°C for the next week. I like it!

Must be nice! Good X-country snow at those temps.

Been kind of a sick winter too. Not cold or dry enough to do a job on some bacteria and viruses.

I read somewhere that Chicago is having a record winter. Not one snowflake fell in Jan. or Feb. That hasn't happened in 100+ years. I forget the exact number 146 or something like that. It snowed in AZ last night, but where I am, it melted and was gone by noon.

I saw a crocus yesterday trees are budding. Last week we had an ice / snow event that lasted 2 days. The ice on the trees was gorgeous but dangerous

Are we neighbors??

I understand completely. Talk to me in July when I'm at 105 and you're ... not. ;)

Yeah that would suck.
