i've got an ex girlfriend who's obsessed with getting me into a 3sum with her and her hubby. She's gotten this poor soul to even pretend to be me just so she can get off. Now it seems he's just as anxious to get me into bed with them. I dont want to ........ They're getting desperate, and i'm afraid the next thing they gonna do is try and wreck my marriage. My wife freaks out when she just hears about this girl.

Be honest with your wife first, so there's no chance of her hearing it first from an outside source (them or someone else). Reassure her you are NOT going to get involved with these people, no matter what.

Then tell the ex and her BF you are absolutely NOT interested and to not ask you again. Cut off all contact with them if they don't respect your wishes or if you're uncomfortable.

And keep your ego in check.

thanx for the replies fellow literaties. ok, let me clear up some issues first... I DO NOT WANT THIS SITUATION! Its not awesome or even a boost to my ego, i'm going through hell because of this couple. My wife gets text msg's to the tone of ' he's mine..... You'll never own him completely'
I could easily ignore this, but its tearing my wife apart. I've gone for by interdict, but was refused 1. I think the judge looked at her and decided that she looked too innocent to be so evil.
As for the question, ' what could go wrong,,............. Well, everything. Besides losing my marriage, my wife could end up in a mental institution!

...Get your wife to block her cellphone number. Cut off contact. RUN AWAY. Seriously, why are you staying in contact? If you don't want to, cut it off. Block her phone number, block his phone number, get a barbed wire electric fence around your house, dye your hair, change your name... okay, maybe not that extreme, but honestly. If she's harrassing your wife by SMS, get your wife to block her...

we've blocked their numbers, but here in south africa a new number costs about 1 rand, which is about 15 cents to you guys. We never know the numbers and there's just no way i can keep my number from them, i'm fairly well known in cape town. Thanx for the thought though.
Oh, and for the record, i'm not in touch with them, they find my wife and i everytime

This sounds like maybe you should go to the police. Harassment like this is illegal here in the UK. The messages your ex is sending to your wife are malicious and should fall under the umbrella of stalking and harassment laws. I know that in SA a few unwanted calls and texts are probably the least of your problems but a formal caution from the law should shut them up for a while and if you need to apply for an injunction or restraining order at a later date, the more you report, the stronger a case you will have. You shouldn't have to live like this.
