I've read it a few years ago. It's a lesbian story about a music teacher and a composer. It was a series and there are a few things I can remember happening:
- One of the pupils had a mental illness and attacked either the teacher or the composer
- The composer had a large house with all kinds of animals
- The composer knew the teacher when they both were young and the teacher contacted the composer to use her work in a competition
Also I think the author had the same name as the teacher main character.
