According to some viewpoints, neither; death is an Avatar. There was a whole series of books on the various metaphysical avatars.

According to other viewpoints I believe there is supposed to be an Angel of Death. I personally have not heard of a demon of death, but then I never took a comparative religions course either - somehow at the time I didn't think it would put food in my hands like a good math or engineering course would.

Angels are hunters and fighters. there job is to hunt down all which is bad or to get others to aid them in their hunt.

Angels are these good little things you see on christmas trees.
