42 views, two corrections, two-and-a-half weeks, and my story is STILL not posted. What is going on ?
It's bad, and insulting, enough that the corrections that had to be made were minor grammatical errors (I've seen POSTED stories with misspellings, homophone errors, and gross grammatical errors like run-on sentences and syntactical errors that make the story unreadable, but yet mine get rejected for having commas in the wrong place !), but why so many views, and so long to get it approved ?

2.5 weeks?! i know they just concluded a call for contest entries, but this is a bit much!

they only thing i can think of is maybe they're not sure if you're crossing the border into something that maybe they don't want to publish, regardless of the quality of the writing. judging from your post, it's clear you possess a command of grammar, so the only thing left must be content.

If they made you correct and resubmit the story, it goes back to the end of the queue, as if you had freshly submitted it. That's all I can think of, if that's not the case with your story, I'm sorry I can't be of any help. :rose:

This is getting ridiculous !

OK, now I my last submission is up to 87 views, and was rejected AGAIN !
This time, because of a formatting error on Lit's end, that did something with the paragraphs.
The first rejection was because for some odd reason, every time I submit a story, the quotation marks come out as squares during the submission process. I usually catch all of them, and change them back, but I missed a couple this time.
The second rejection was because I had to move THREE commas to the proper side of the quotation marks.
And now this rejection.
I would REALLY like an editor to explain to me why my story is being bounced around like this, when, as I stated in my first post, I read stories on a regular basis that contain misspellings, gramatical errors, missing quotation marks, etc.

I'd like to offer an explanation, but I don't know the answer--and neither does anyone else on this board. Volunteer editors don't control the acceptance process. You might want to check out the dialogue in the KentuckyWriter thread below.

Who DOES control the process, why does my story have 87 views, and why is it taking so damn long, and so many views, before anything is done ?
I can't get answers to ANY of these questions !

Write a polite PM to Laurel. Clearly state your problem, and ask your questions.
