I detect the odor of delusion. The last we heard from RR he was single-handedly cleaning out motorcycle gangs from his community for "the Man". He's some sort of secret government agent/super-hero.

Ok, I'm officially confused.

I've read that first post ten times now. The chain of events is as garbled and illogic as my dreams on flu, and every other point is non sequitir and the rest semi incomprehensible.

Short version: Huh?

So no advice from me. Not sure you were actually looking for any anyway.

That's not exactly the odor I smell...

R. Richard, put down the crack pipe and step away from it, please.

Agreed. Your complete distrust/hatred of all things law enforcement has been espoused over and over, R. Richard. Whatever your reasons, I'm sure to you they are sound. But for many, they give a completely biased backdrop against the efficacy of any law enforcement agency.

As Cloudy suggested, let them do their job. If you lived their life, I've a feeling you would see things differently.

I would be entirely willing to 'let them do their job.' However, the scumbags don't want to 'do their job.' The scumbags in my town don't and the scumbags in New Orleans don't. When I lived in the South Central I not only had to do my job or die, I had to work around the incompetent efforts of the LAPD.

You might try seeing it my way. The life you save might be that of a child.

Is that where you picked up the crack habit that is causing all of this paranoia?

Delusion? Lets examine facts. In a very well publicized sequnce of incidents, the New Orleans scumbags deserted the citizens of NO at a time of great need. Yet, you are still willing to fund said scumbags. Could i have your thinking in the matter?

I don't recall having claimed to have cleaned out a motorcycle gang single handed or in any other fashion. In fact I have worked with local motorcycle gangs to eliminate certain problems in my community.

You seem fixated on crack cocaine. I have to wonder why. I don't use crack cocaine, or any other drug, with the exception of Chlorpheniramine. I use the Chlorpheniramine to enable me to breathe and that mainly in the spring and fall when the pollen in the local area is quite bad. I have to live in the real world. Many of those who chose to live in the drug world have found that the real world tends to win in the end.

That said, I have had to deal with people on PCP. That last is not fun. Most psychoactive drugs tend to reduce the ability of people to deal with the real world. PCP, short term, actually increases strength in the user to a level that makes said users dangerous to deal with. If fear of PCP users is paranoia, then I'm caught.

I'm not really clear on what your legal situation is...but could you go to the media? Our local news has an investigative reporter who just loves to get up in peoples' business when they're not doing their jobs.

Agree. I'm pretty sure media involvement would clean R.Richard's clock right quick.

No, I couldn't constructively, 'go to the media.' The people who actually run the area where I live don't want media attention to the situation. [By the way, the people who actually run things here are mostly not elected,as is the normal case.]

I suspect that the reason behind the 'policy decision' is that the people who run the area don't want more community involvement on the level of the rednecks. It's very dangerous when the local people realize that the scumbags have very little interest in protecting them.

If your investigative reporter finds, for instance, someone running a medical clinic without being a medical doctor, I applaud the effort. [The New York Post does this, from time to time.] Similarly, finding shops where they charge for auto repairs that aren't done or do auto repairs that aren't needed is a public service and any number of newspapers do this sort of thing on an, 'as needed' basis.

The problem that we had was that a scumbag decided that it could do a better job of deciding where a violent, convicted child abuser should live, than could the State Legislature and a judge in a court of law. I submit that such action is an armed attempt to overthrow a government (treason.) The argument used by the very powerful people who run the local community was that it wasn't treason, it was simply a case of, "The boy is so dumb that he can't figure the results of what he's doing." [Acually I more or less agree with the conclusion, although I think that it applies to the entire scumbag contingent.] The problem is that, if a ship owner is giving short weight, the shop owner harms customers to the extent of the short weight. If a scumbag decides not to enforce the law, someone could well die, maybe several someones. I tend to support the people of the community, including the ones who are 'so dumb that they can't figure the results of what they're doing,' particularly when the ones who are in harms way are children.

Let me further bore you by saying that I'm intelligent enough to discern the difference between a true pedophile and some 18-year-old guy who gets caught fucking his 16-year-old girlfriend in what would be a consensual sexual encounter, save for the age of the girlfriend.

Let me again further bore you by saying that I'm intelligent enough to have developed a complete, compassionate cure for pedophiles. The cure was developed when I lived in San Diego which has a proper facility needed to implement the cure. The cure consists in allowing [forcing actually] the pedophile to do as the pedophile wishes and molest a three-year-old. The name of the specific three-year-old is immaterial. The specific three-year-old also had a title, 'ursus maritimus.'

Finally, let me say that the Girl who was abducted is recovering, with not a great deal of physical harm. Girl drank from a muddy little pond and, in the process, covered herself with enough insultation that she survived subfreezing overnight temperature, burrowed into a nest of leaves. If you want heroes, the search and rescue team qualifies, along with the EMT team, to a lesser degree. If you want villans, BabyRaper qualifies, although he needs the cure which I could provide. However, SamScumbag is the real villlain and, I submit, he's your problem.

All I see from 'your way' is confusion. Might want to take a deep breath there.

By the way, seeing things from my point of view has already let me save a child. And I'm pretty sure if I wore your more-cynical-than-Dennis Miller-shoes at the time, I wouldn't be saying that now.
