Playing as another gender - taboo?

I’m basically straight but bi round the edges and I love the imaginative exercise of writing. Quite often I’ve thought it would be fun to play as a woman although I’m male. I always thought this would be quite a normal thing to explore for anyone interested in how your partner might feel during sex, and a lot of fun for anyone who likes to create characters. But generally in chat it just worries people or even gets them angry. Anyone any thoughts on this? I find it puzzling…

Folks just want others to be upfront with them. If it’s RP, they want to know it’s RP. It is kinda funny that everyone is pseudonymous here, and most of the time we don’t know who’s really on the other side of the computer/tablet/phone, and fantasy chat is fantasy chat. But, people don’t like being lied to. Homophobes, in particular, will get irate if they feel they’ve been duped into “gay play.”

We have no issue with people either playing or presenting a different gender of what they were assigned at birth.

TPH is correct if this is just an rp ad that you would like to try just be up front with it. But alternately...if anyone is an asshole or homophobic if you have indeed been upfront with this being an rp scene you want to try please report it to the mods with a screen shot. (sighs I sadly would suggest taking a screen shot of you telling them this is an rp ad and them agreeing to it as some like to back peddle if its found out that they were playing with a man and do not want to be seen as gay.) I know this sounds like over kill but trust me when I say as someone who has never presented as anything but female on Lit, I myself have been accused of "being secretly a man!" Yeah brilliant insult fuckos.

I have played rp's where two people of different genders switch bodies. Not sure if that would be something you would be interested in but I found with the partner I had to be quite fun.

But yeah I myself have played male characters (which ahem I actually had it that other female players actually wanted to play with me more than the male players at times and some of them got cranky about it but that's another story. But I was always fully open that I am a female player.) and other than having different genitals...its really not all that different in my mind as playing a woman? Other than sexual characteristics its not like men and women have thier organs in different places. Like men do not keep thier spleen in thier right arm or something? and woman keep thier heart in thier left ass cheek. And I mean not to mention intersex people..so yeah...feel free to present it as an rp ad but do expect some to be kind of whiney babies about it because for some reason some people despite this being lit...think that sticking thier dicks in anything but a vagina is "Gaaaaaay." and this is somehow a bad thing. Me thinks the dumbasses doth protest too much.

I mean I regularly say Just because I own a vagina does not mean I don't have bigger balls than you. So I hope you can find a partner where you both enjoy your rp.
