Playful Players At Play

To my astonishment, I find Mr JP's language suddenly twisted and made a turn. Quite rich and a little strange. Goodness, I had to consult Google to have a complete and correct comprehension of what Mr JP is saying.

"Such declasse nouveau riche " translates into English as "such fallen ostentatious social climbers ". Did I get it?

And "near my hotel in Kensington"----You live in a hotel?

And lastly, the fancy looking" foie gras" is "the liver of a fattened goose or duck" ?..Gee, I have a lot to learn.

Oh....my drink.....Slow Screw would be good. Mr JP

My little flower, mon petit fleur, I sometimes struggle with verbosity, but yes the translations are correct and nouveau riche refers to "new money", which is perfectly good currency, while lacking the distinctive cachet of "old money".

My lodgings are temporary of course, while the Estate is being renovated for a stable. Yes, you might say I come from old money. Do you enjoy the equestrian arts, Senora?

I must say I was delighted by your cavalier choice for an aperitif and will recommend the Southern Comfort whiskey; making it a Slow Comfortable Screw, for the gentle lady, and if I may, I'll join you.

"Enjoying your slow comfortable screw?" his voice came delightfully warm, into her little ear.

The gentle man joins the gentle lady for a Slow Screw. They know how it works. The seating is comfortable and the ambience feels so fine. This dinners' club is situated by the water front where they can see boats on the water and birds in the air.

After the first drink, the waiter comes back with a big smile and some cavalier appetizer.

"Oh, the equestrian arts?
Im too far remote from the idea of horsing around, Señor."

No horsing around, then let us enjoy the delicious appetizers. Caviar may seem out of bounds with a Slow Screw libation, but damn convention, I say. For us, both black and red caviar.

Perhaps after dinner you'll accompany me back to my hotel... to view some of the etchings I collected in Italy recently.

I see the nice colors of my orange Caviar and yours is black . The sharp contrast brings the presence to be fully awake. Being fully awake is the only time we get to taste the flavor, or it'll just go by without being noticed. Then one may feel time is "empty" or dull.

The next moment comes the entree menu. Do you see the chicken that stands out ? If you need something clarified, ask the waiter.
