Planned Parenthood & Anthrax

It's not like threats, even terrorism, are a new facet of the anti-abortion crusade.

Ever checked out the web sites where anti-abortioners post the names of doctors and other clinic workers who perform or assist in abortions? You know, the ones that list them as "wanted," and put a red line through the names of those that have been murdered? Not even a very hidden call to arms, an incitement to cold-blooded murder.

It's shocking what gets done in the name of "God" and "saving lives," isn't it? Sometimes we forget that terrorism doesn't just come from outside; we are also susceptible to irrational and inhuman behavior in the name of the greater good. It happens all the time.

Great. Now I'm depressed. That was not in my evening plan.

Those Lambs of God are gonna get their just rewards come judgment day when God tells them go to Hell for scaring and hurting people.

I could never understand people like that. You kill so its ok for me to kill you...

No its not..

there are people that would say that what the people against abortion are doing, is as bad as the Taliban or any organization that says they are "killing for God".

They are NOT killing for the God that I know of. People have different ideas, and views of what is right and wrong, and to some people, your opinion if it's different, is going to be wrong, because it's not the same as them.

A local Planned Parenthood was a recipient of these letters alledgedly tainted with Anthrax. It was later found NOT to be contaminated, but also happened to be from a right to lifer.

Now here is there problem I have with "right to lifers". How can SOME of them feel that they have to kill Doctors, or other employees of these places, and still call themselves "right to lifers"?

Don't forget that many of these same people are pro-death penalty. I think it's not "right to life" so much as "right to live until I personally or my group condemns you to death." But that slogan's too long for the bumper stickers.

Republicans oppose abortion but support the death penalty...

What up with that?

Not all do. Some support the killing of babies and cringe at the thought of a murderer dying prematurely.

LOL. Wow! I didn't even know the killing of babies was an option under discussion. I thought we were talking about abortion. Silly me.

Since I assume our friend "Unregistered" is referring (admittedly, in inflammatory terms) to the subjects of abortion and the death penalty: I've yet to meet the republican that was both pro-choice and anti-death penalty. I've seen splits, but never both.
But, who am I to stereotype? Maybe there's lots of republicans who are secretly liberals.

This is not new. It was done in '98.

That may be one explanation of why external terrorists have glomed on to anthrax since the threat has been done here before.

I am from Europe ( yes, we do actually have cars and electricity here). I happened to be in the US when there was a terrorist attack in Oklahoma.
Rumours were that "evil ones/bad guys" from the outside (rest of the world, or even worse maybe even arabs) had done it.

Even though it was not funny at all, I could not suppress a sad smile when they found out the terrorist was a bad fellow citizen.

Years later, he was slaughtered in the biggest democracy on earth...helpfully President Bush had a thought for the guy's parents and family. I am sure they are thankful for it and they will go on supporting the great system they live in.

The US are great, I love my holidays there. I have American friends...but still we poor citizens of the rest of the world have difficulties to comprehend the American way of life and death.
