I wouldn't typically bring this type of thing to this forum, but I thought it would strike a chord with other author's as much as it did me. It was pointed out to me by one of my readers that a newly released story in the Interracial Love category called "Two New White Whores" was openly acknowledged as plagiarism by the "author" via a comment following it. His comment: "This Story Isn't Mine - Before anyone tells me so, I didn't write this story. It's one from the past that I had saved for a long time that someone else had written. I cleaned it up a bit and submitted it because I've always liked it."

Conveniently, he did not note this in pre or post story notes, but rather as a cowardly comment that he probably hoped would not be discovered by Lit. Sadly, a handful of readers have favorited it and actually voted it a 3.5+.

I have reported the story and am asking others to do the same to make sure the Lit powers that be do not miss it.

How did you report it? Did you use the report story function or by e-mail? E-mail does not work. PM is the only way to reach Laurel for anything. If you use PM, please add a link to the story and an explanation of what you found.

Or, even better (I think), click on the [! Report] button next to the end of the story, and explain why this story should be removed. JohnBlack113's own comment should actually be sufficient in itself.
I clicked on the report story icon on the story itself and noted that the "author" acknowledged submitting someone else's story in the comment section. I wish I knew the story that was stolen but unfortunately I do not.
