I have found so many of my stories plagiarized word for word on Amazon under fake author names. They didn't even change the title of some.

Anyone else experiencing this?

It’s happened to a lot of us. Report it to Amazon. I reported them as being free elsewhere, as well as plagiarized, with a link to the story on Literotica. I never heard back from amazon but they took them down within a couple of weeks.

It’s a fact of life in Literotica these days. You will get copied if your story is any good and it’s in a niche that might sell.

How do you even check it's happened? Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere already. I'm thinking you pick a unique line of text from your story and Google it?

Welcome to the club and congrats :) Unfortunately, it happens all the time, and it might take some time to get Amazon to remove them - if they even believe you. I've had a few of those replies like "Sorry, but we don't believe you're the owner...bla bla...".

But, Amazon will quickly remove them if they receive multiple complaints on the same book and the same author. We had one a few weeks/months ago that posted 201 books on Amazon and the majority was stolen from Lit.

So, I would advice you to list the fake author names here so other writers can check if their works are also plagarized. Typically they take a whole bunch when their at it.

But, it will happen again, so maybe you should consider publishing your stories? ;) That's what got me started - and it feel even better when the money ends up in the right pocket, LOL

I've never seen my story on Amazon, but I know that my stories have appeared on other sites after readers inform me.

One was on an Asian story website that looked unusual in its layout. Someone took my story and swapped the names for Japanese names. It got glowing reviews too. A reader told me about it and I emailed the Admin to take the story down, which they did.

My stories appear on another site also where someone created an account using my name.

You have shared the same experience as many writers on here in that you write stories worth being plagiarised. The answer is simple. Stop writing good stories, lol.
