Hello All,

I was bored tonight and decided to go on a witch hunt, and guess what I hit the jackpot.

I found someone under the nickname Sexual D'Light, plagiarized at least 3 stories from the lit site. I suspect that others may come from here or other sites. Be aware she sometimes changes the Title of the Story, you must read the content. Go check it out.

The stories that I found plagiarized so far :

1) First Meeting from Selias. She changed the title to Online Love.

2) Her First Lesson from Lace. Same title.

3) 3 Sluts on the Night Shift by English Bob. Same title

What is it with this open diary site anyway? I wrote yet again.

I'm on it again too. I'm starting to feel like I'm part of a Plagiarism Posse.

That's okay, Passionnee. I see we both left our personal notes on the website. I would reccommend more of our fellow Literoticans go to that site and do the same.

with gals like you I have no other visible choice but to join the posse

Manu Sighting

Now they are in trouble, Manus on the case. Going to the site now.

Hey that sucks. Count me in to make a note AND write to opendiary!

Sucks alot because I HAVE a diary on opendiary, (Under Nightstorm) and I love the site. Too bad these fuckers gotta abuse it.

Off I go to complain!!!

This is just too much...

If there's this much plagiarism on just that one site, imagine the whole web...

*sigh*

I too have posted on the thief's site and sent a letter to the mighty DiaryMonitor.

ReDHeD...

I love your sig line. (Shoulda posted that to that asshole's notes LOL)

Angel

Why thank you so much! Most don't like it, but I do agree with you; I should have posted it on that site.

PS. I just checked the site out again. How come my post isn't there???

Whats not to like? It's straightforward, honest, and best of all, TRUE!

Me too. Twice lol.
I'm happy this was posted. I've been on Opendiary for a few months, basically because I could anonymously post some shit that was going on in my life to vent and hear other's takes on it. It helped me to deal. Now that I've settled down and dealt with it, I was going to start posting some non-porn stories and some poetry (Which is also published on my website)Cuz a few opendiary friends saw them and wanted me to post them in MY diary. Only now I don't think I'll be doing that, in fact I'm thinking of closing my diary, as I don't want to participate in a site who doesn't enforce their TOS.

I think that Open Diary does enforce their rules when they are made aware of violations. I didn't bother telling the plagiarist what I thought, I just pointed out the rules violation (having x-rated material in the diary) to mailto:diarymonitor@opendiary.com and let them deal with the problem.

As a diarist on the site, I think your complaint will have more weight than those of the "posse."

One thing I noticed about both palgiarists, is that they don't just hit Lit for their stolen stories. ASSTR.org contributed many stories as well. I think this case also "borrowed" a few stories from EroticStories.com too.

"Pure Erotica" my ass. I have also put in my 2 cents on that page.

It certainly makes one wonder: How widespread is this problem and is there any way a writer can guard against it?

This is Absolutely Amazing to Me

that people can't come up with their own damned ideas! I would be pissed, but I can't help but feel sorry for these fools' lack of imagination.

<sigh> for this sorry fraction of the erotic community...

okay.....call me niave but what if the person who wrote it here , posted it there? Now I have done absolutly no research into this ...I don't even know who wrote the story in the first place. And since I have never sent in a story I don't know the "rules" such as not putting the same story on different sites.
Just a question.

Quit looking at me like I'm a pitiful puppy!

i do believe that if the author was one in the same they would have stepped forward by now!
