It's the grand bazaar, and it is in Istanbul. It's miles and miles of tunnels that are now shops. It's been divided into sections like the spice bazaar, the leather bazaar, the metals bazaar (gold, silver and such), you get the idea.

The other place is Derinkuyu. That whole area of Turkey is littered with underground cities, but Derinkuyu, thus far, has been the biggest discovered. I don't know much about them, other than they were built during the Byzantine Empire, and seemed to be used for hiding in case of invasion. Derinkuyu is about 5 levels deep.
