Pitbull vs. Kitten

Pitbulls, the misunderstood breed.

I have had the fortune to know and own two of them. They never bit anyone, they never attacked anyone. They were always around small children and never mauled them. They are loyal, love without condition, breed of dog.

They were my best friends and I miss them dearly.

Any bad behavior attributed to the breed is a taught behavior. You have to teach a pitbull to attack strangers, other dogs.

This is true. The breed that bites most often is the Cocker Spaniel, followed by Collies. Pitbulls, Rotties, Huskies, Shepherds, etc. get the bad raps because of the percentages of fatalities in their attacks and the sensationalism attached to them.

There was an incident where two Dachshunds killed their handicapped owner and ate her face and another where a Pomeranian killed a baby when the two were left alone on a bed. Dogs are dogs, whatever the breed.

But the pity would never eat that baby on the bed with it, if the baby is part of the pack. They would protect and nurture the baby.

When my granddaughter was still a baby, my female pitt would sit by her to make sure nobody hurt her. She, the dog, would snarl at the other dogs if they got too close.

As my granddaughter got older and bigger, the male pitt took over as her protector. His name was Rudy, but she called him BooBoo. He answered to both names. He was a smart dog and loved his Jesse, my gdaughter. :D

I agree it's in the training. Unfortunately for pitbulls they became the preferred breed of ghetto niggers and that was the end of their rep. See one Michael Vick.

Plus the bad habit of inbreeding, especially Blues. :(

I used to date a guy who had a gentle heart. He was a near-giant at 6'11", a former football star who blew his knee out and ended his career. And I adored him, for as long as it lasted. Imagine my shock earlier this year when I found out the sad and dangerous turn his life took. He became a drunk, obsessed with Michael Vick, and turned to torturing and slaughtering his wife's dogs. He was arrested, sent to prison while his wife divorced him.

He had done such heinous things to the poor pups, stating he was better than Vick, that Vick was a fool for getting caught. After prison, he died alone and friendless in a half-way house. A real shocker for me.

who sung the sound track music ?

That's Sir Paul McCartney and his band Wings. He wrote that as the theme music for the James Bond flick 'Live and Let Die' with Roger Moore as Bond.

I always preferred Sean Connery as Bond, although this new guy's pretty cool. :D

{geezer mode} Youngsters today. Pfffft!!!!! Lt's not only that they don't respect the classics, they don't even know them. Sigh.

Entirely to cute for words....Many older animals I've found have a fondest for little ones. At least as much as humans.

Pitt bulls can be dangerous, but no more than any other dog. Most people I know who have them think nothing of having them watch their children who they're very protective off. If you want to find a bad dog it is usually the human that keeps them...
