Low end of the sentencing scale is appropriate for a first offence with a low chance of reoffending.

I guess it ok since drugs weren't involved. That would have made it serious.

I don't know whether he is guilty or not, I can see both sides, esp. given the serious crime rate in South Africa.

I can understand how someone might freak out thinking someone is in their home and over react. Only two people knew what happened and only one is alive.

From what I can tell he has been convicted of what we in the US would consider negligent manslaughter. He is definitely guilty of killing, whether it was intentional or not.
